    Pros

Good people, community / sustainability agenda, supportive of employees, good compensation and flexible work practices. The Company offers opportunities for career growth.

    Cons

Tough time for insurance, poor financial results in 2008. Company is current in a significant period of change and is shifting to a decentralised model. Once this is completed, I expect we will move to a very positive outlook. QBE has been stalking the Group, so there is a possibility of a takeover in the next 12 to 18 months.

    Advice to Management

Focus on getting the key things right and restoring the Group to solid profitability.

    Pros

Good management in place and everyone is approachable. Minimal micro management and everyone willing to help out - you wont last if you want to be a lone ranger!

    Cons

Too much change - I'm not change reluctant however I went through 3 restructures in 2.5 years

    Advice to Management

Salaries probably need to be more competitive however people choose to come here for the flexibility & values the CEO drives so its a bit of give & take.

I have been working at Insurance Australia Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

IAG has fully supported me within my career with both personal and professional development.

Continuous coaching and a business culture designed to encourage honest conversations to ensure that the company continues to challenge itself and adapt to social, economical & climate changes.

    Cons

An area of opportunity at the moment is further development of technology options to allow for virtual roles rather than the need to have everyone working out of the one location.
