    Pros

On the whole, employees at Integra are intelligent, thoughtful, and good to work with. People really embrace the company goals of "customer service" at all levels of the company. There's never a shortage of projects to work on and ways to make improvements. Projects are challenging and interesting and really drive the business as a whole. Management seems to understand the strains and stress of the job and makes changes appropriately in order to manage the overall workload. While the rule of "good, fast, cheap; pick two" still applies, they will more often than not pick good and fast over cheap.

    Cons

With two acquisitions in quick succession, the culture has changed drastically. The different pieces have their own historic ways of doing things, so getting everyone moving forward in the same way is a challenge. Additionally, work has been in a high energy, all hands mode since those acquisitions started and will continue in that mode until the data conversion is complete. Work loads have increased beyond the 40 hour week since the acquisitions started.

There seems to be a recent trend to hire new employees at a higher level and salary more often than promoting from within. It is rare to see a new hire as a full time employee (contract or contract to hire instead), which may turn off some applicants.

    Advice to Management

Even though Integra is a privately held company, the Senior Management still keeps employees informed of the positive and negative trends in all areas of the company. They also embrace the company's values of communication and customer service. There's a good amount of transparency in many of the major decisions. Senior Management is quite willing to chat about every area of the company in the elevator or the gym when you happen to run into them.

    Pros

The management team really invests in your future. From training to motivation to sales engineering/management support - they really provide you with the tools to be successful. I found that if you are someone who comes in - does that activity, identifies opportunities, holds enough meetings and bring your sales engineer/manager with you, you will succeed and make ALOT of money!

    Cons

If you don't work hard - look somewhere else. This position is only for someone that wants to work hard and make a lot of money.

    Pros

Very good leadership team. Managers always willing to help employees succeed. AE's and SAE's are always in a great position to compete with competitors in the market. Customer service great, product set very good, positive environment, great sales rep training and support.

    Cons

Integra struggles a bit with name recognition in the market.

    Advice to Management

Continue to bring great products to the markets.

I have been working at Integra Telecom full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company does strive to be the best at customer service and bending over backwords to meet customer demands. Works towards providing services customers want and need. Flexible work schedule allows for good work/life balance. Finally giving raises again. They seem to be recognizing the loss of good employees and working towards keeping the ones they still have left.

    Cons

S&P downgrade, canceling office newspaper when newspaper is a customer, 401k match still not reinstated, constant restructuring, not investing in Fiber in MN market, losing a lot of experienced & tenured employees

    Pros

    *Wonderful environment to work in
*Best Support on all levels from Sales, Provisioning, Installation, and Repair
*The ability to advance your career. There are a lot of options for your success
*The confidence that what you sell will work for your customers
*Leadership team that has been put into place
    *You run your own business
*There is no cap on commissions!!!
    * NEW PRODUCTS ALWAYS COMING OUT

    Cons

I really don't have any cons for this company. They are growing in the right direction. A lot of people will complain about the quota is to high, or the market is over saturated. In my opinion those people just don't have the work ethic to make it happen. They don't treat this as their business and cultivate it with prospecting, networking, following up, running a good process, and closing the deals.

    Advice to Management

keep doing what you are doing!!!

    Pros

Integra values each and every customer and so if you believe in customer service than Integra is the place for you.

    Cons

Integra is constantly evolving so if you don't like change than Integra is not an ideal company to work at.

    Pros

The internal IT management team is mostly sensible.
The end users rule.. 90% of them are smarter than the average bear.

    Cons

Tons of work (expect to be busy and love it)
poop-tacular budget (can't do the work you're asked to do because it's not on the list.)
Lots of home-grown stuff that isn't supported proactively

    Advice to Management

We have to punt if you tell us we can't have the money you said we could have last quarter.
IT is infrastructure, to be sure, but it's also integral to keeping a business functioning.

Just because we're not a cost center doesn't mean that we don't contribute.

Every single thing we fix shortens hours for revenue centers.

I worked at Integra Telecom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I loved working for Integra/ ELI. Unfortunately, they sold out and let go of a good portion of the loyal employees that made it a success.

    Cons

Those of us that stayed with the new company following the acquisition are pretty unhappy. More work, less pay and #noteffortless for employees.

    Advice to Management

You shouldn't have sold. At the very least you should have negotiated better conditions for employees that stayed on.
