    Pros

Good atmosphere, Lots of work in a variety of locations

    Cons

Low end of pay scale, Needs better communication, and a more stream line way of getting the right material at the right time

    Advice to Management

I worked at Integrated Electrical Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very few other than some very good techs and admin.

    Cons

Seriously reconsider taking a position with this company if it is offered to you. Unfortunately I took one and truly regret it. There are better firms out there to work for.

    Advice to Management

The one word that comes to mind is inept. Any advice is truly fruitless.

I worked at Integrated Electrical Services full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Honestly nothing. Benefits package and 401k but that's pretty standard. I was looking for a company that I wanted to work for. I took a pretty significant pay cut to work here because I wanted to get out of what I was doing. Complete waste of my time.

    Cons

Everything. Expectations are very high with zero training. They want you to travel away from your family for 6 months to a year at a time while sharing a room with someone in the cheapest hotel they find. You are treated like crap and HR is a joke also.

    Advice to Management

Pfft. They don't give a hoot. Military Bros just looking out for their own bonuses.

I have been working at Integrated Electrical Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are some really good people on the team, pay is ok, the team is very knowledgeable.

    Cons

At the same time there are really difficult people to work with, not a lot but a few. The work/life balance wasn't great sure and the pay wasn't the best but that's just the industry itself, the real con here were the people to work with. The overall atmosphere felt very juvenile and childish, at times I felt like I wasn't part of their click which made me feel like I was back in high school. Very unprofessional. Communication is not a strong suite with anyone from this company either. After talking with many other staffing agencies and structured cabling companies, it is obvious that IES is difficult to work with and many companies refuse to work with them.

    Advice to Management

Learn to adapt, just because something was always done that way doesn't mean its right or it can't be improved. Also open your eyes, there are some employees who are ruining the IES reputation that you try so hard to preserve. Just because an employee has been in the company a long time does not mean they are irreplaceable.

    Pros

Former owner was a better manager to work with also great location to raise Kids.
    Schools are great .

    Cons

Changing of the guards and revised cost monitoring quite too often.
Once you get it up and running they change programs . Loaded field supervision up with paper work every day they could not run the project!

    Advice to Management

Stick with a plan and in due time if not working then discuss with pm what needs to change .

I worked at Integrated Electrical Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learn the trade and move on to much better contractors that actually care about you and your family and really value there employees

    Cons

They make you feel expendable, Management is a joke!! If you go to the Manager with a problem he will change the subject and talk about his hobbies instead of hearing you. I went to him and told him that I work 60-70 hours a week but I can't bill for overtime and he said that's how you have to do it. Just bill the 40 hours a week since its piece work.

    Advice to Management

Take a close look at the Division Manager before you get nailed by the Dept of Labor for his shady practices and his use of company money to wine and dine his family and friends.

company won't even provide tape to pull cable.

    Advice to Management

spend a week in the field
