I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free fruits and beverages for full time Intel employees only; not for contractors.

    Cons

Employer contribution to my 401K is very, very low. In 2 years, I only got paid ~$850.00.

I have been working at Intel Corporation as an intern

    Pros

    - Can easily find a mentor to help you along while still taking ownership of your project
    - In my case, I got to really dive into my project to a pretty deep level so I really got to understand what I was really doing in the big picture

    Cons

    - VERY slow to start, it took me about 3 weeks to start my actual project. Before that was all just onboarding/training

    Advice to Management

Try to speed up the onboarding process a bit if possible

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I've worked with are amazing. Smart, interested in being at work and extremely helpful. My direct manager and PM want me to succeed and have worked with me to make it happen.

    Cons

Lot's of politics that gets pushed down the management chain. Some of the management chain is too hands on/micro manages.

    Advice to Management

Let your engineers engineer. Don't let C-level management push products on the company. Let engineers give the input they're paid to give.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, decent work life balance, and with a good manager, career advancement opportunities.

    Cons

Timetables can be challenging, consistently trying to do more with less, tends to focus on work philosophies that do not always work across different business groups

    Advice to Management

Listen to your senior members of your staff. Sometimes old ideas will work with new technologies.
