I worked at Intel Corporation (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Excellent vision plan and dental.

    Cons

Slow decision making. Decisions made slowly.

    Advice to Management

Hold BU leaders accountable for the money they spend on acquisitions. Track the actual cash flows used for DCF analysis of each and every deal. Hold BU leaders accountable for the money they spend on acquisitions. I repeat, hold BU leaders accountable for the money they spend on acquisitions.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great products that change the way that humans think, connect and interact. There are lot of opportunities to move around as Intel is a big company spanning from IT to software to hardware. And Intel is also very involved in community and support schools, STEAM etc..

    Cons

Since it is a big company, there are lot of stakeholders that you need to deal with.

    Advice to Management

Good to have clear service level agreements between teams for clarity on each groups deliverables and recievables.

I worked at Intel Corporation (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Used to have excellent training and educational opportunities to grow technically
Used to be a respective brand name on resume
Used to have top notch talent

    Cons

    Clown car top level management.
Too many mis-steps and missed opportunities due to BK's cluelessness.
Huge amount of sub-par talent hired post 2005. These people do not ask questions and just do what they are told by management
Folsom site is one-horse-town. If you need to switch teams - good luck or move to Bay.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of BK and Murthy. They are tanking the company.

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

They enable their Business Analyst to be knowledable in not only SdLC but strategic planning, forcasting, marketing, sales and engineering. We basically have insight and knowledge of business groups that work together so we can offer solutions to meet abd exceed business goals, targets and exceed benchmarks when possuble. This is very empowering multiple divisions worldwide collaborating together.

    Cons

Working very long hours at times due to meetings, conference calls worldwide (Europe/Asia). However, we must enable ourself to sustain this discipline if we want to maintain effective communication and obtain "excellence".

    Advice to Management

Thank you to the managers, directors, vice presidents and janitorial staff. Working at Intel isn't easy and that is why WE were hired! Keep up the work/life balance especially don't forget to take care of yourself not just your team/business group(s).

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Interesting work with lots of variety

    Cons

Lots of stress, competition, job insecurity.

    Advice to Management

Intel used to have a longer vision, now short term profits seem to be paramount, management solutions out of the can (send jobs overseas) rather than outside the box.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great, smart engineers that tackle difficult problems!

    Cons

Worst management ever! Intel has a rich culture of team building based on years of growth from the PC business. Even though the growth is no longer there, teams are built (and destroyed) routinely, based on management politics.

    Advice to Management

Take care of employees instead of focusing on climbing the ladder and empire building.

    Pros

Very good benefits, possible long vacation if you work 4+ years. Challenging work, alot to learn and grow as professional.

    Cons

Most of the tools and flows are very well developed but specific only to intel. Some of the tools are internally developed and not spread industrywise.

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Salary. Free coffee, though it says Starbucks it tastes nothing like it. Free bananas. Can get training without travel fairly easy.

    Cons

Every interview since leaving Intel said having Intel on the resume in the local job market is a bad mark on your record.
Toxic environment in InfoSec. Failed leadership, bad managers, cut throat environment with people sabotaging your every chance at success so they look better than you so they aren't the one that gets cut in the "lay off ten percent at every review cycle" rule. Anyone with any skills has ran like heck to get out of the toxic environment. This job is a career ending move.

    Advice to Management

Need a manager and director full sweep clean out to fix Morale. Don't listen to managers that meet the age requirement to be forced into retirement in the next cycle when it comes to their opinions on shining star employees, if their words are bad about them. Managers poison anyone on their team that can replace them to save themselves from getting let go with a package. That is a Morale breaking formula, and it's rampant.
