I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of budget to do very simple things
A lot of possibilities if the marketing organization can get their act together.
Easy KPI and very simple view in modern marketing
    Very exciting technology

    Cons

The new HQ leader for regional marketing seems to be clueless. This is led by next level of clueless-ness. Only cares about budget spent, no one seems to care about the outcome. A lot of red tapes to get simple thing done. The management setup many committees with a lot of people making comments. Lots of talk, no action. It seems like a lot of people are responsible for very small functions. Everything is about having beautiful PowerPoint slides.

    Advice to Management

There is no agility in marketing. HQ should trust the region in doing their job. Have proper KPIs.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Money is ok. There are some smart people in pockets of the company. Benefits are solid.

    Cons

Toxic corporate culture that encourages employees to fight each other for the piece of the pie. Also, more and more the only thing that matters at Intel is the color of your skin and your gender. If you aren't the preferred option of the CEO and HR, you are irrelevant and need to look elsewhere. Your performance doesn't matter whatsoever at Intel. You either are the correct gender or color, or you are a political assassin that does little more than making your fellow employees look bad.

    Advice to Management

Quit. All of them. The BOD is useless at this point.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Compensation, perks, work-life balance, plenty of times I'm not doing anything meaningful

    Cons

No clear communication among teams, no information transparency, most of the upper management/leadership don't know what they're doing, what their business models are, or simply don't know the underlying technology enough to make decisions

    Advice to Management

Less politicking, more doing actual work

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Really great work life balance...almost too laid back for everyone's own good. Ability to work from home often is great.

    Cons

Intel is so old and corporate that it does not know how to retain top talent. They are very strict and really hold the glass ceiling on top of young people. If you haven't been there for multiple years you don't have a say in anything.

    Advice to Management

Get a grip and get with the times. People don't want to work for bureaucratic and archaic companies. Let your young talent flourish and take risks and responsibilities.

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's very hard for me to come up with anything nice to say about Intel. It's the worst place I've ever worked.

    Cons

Intel is always looking for new ways to cut costs. There's a constant push to move jobs to China and India. Projects don't finish. Deadlines are always blown. There's a culture of overpromising and underdelivering. Employees who challenge it are not deemed team players. Employees who blow deadlines and overpromise are promoted.

    Advice to Management

Advice to the board: fire the CEO and his staff. Clean house. The world is passing Intel by

    Pros

Strong Culture. Co-Worker Quote: "I feel like I've joined a cult, not a company."

    Cons

Laying off 12,000 in 2016 and 2017. PC market has been in secular decline for six years. CEO let it slip that he supports Donald Trump.

    Advice to Management

Stop laying off and outsourcing your crown jewels: dedicated, hardworking employees.

    Pros

    They pay good hourly rates

    Cons

The fulltime employees gang up against contractors. They harass the contractors in a systematic way so that they get fed up and go. Then they hire Indian interns and make them slog misusing the fact of visa dependency and financial vulnerability of the interns. The interns are made to work over 15 hours per day. The work culture in the Perceptual Computing group has gone to pieces. Its terribly rogue politics.

    Advice to Management

1} Do not hire experienced professional since your fulltime employees will insult, abuse and harass them into an exit.
2} Beware that your abuse of interns is known to the Depart of Labor and this will get at you someday later or sooner.
3} Learn that your fulltime employees are NOT APOSTLES OF TRUTH !! They are UTTER LIARS who are playing games endlessly to kill the contractors
4} If possible, try to acknowledge the hardwork of the contractors, they are factually doing way better than those useless fulltimers which are leaching Intel only for their benefits and money.

PERCEPTUAL COMPUTING WAKE UP BEFORE LOOSING MORE CONTRACTORS TO THIS ABUSE. ITS ONLY A STRAW THAT YOU WILL BE OFFICIALLY COMPLAINED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR.
