I have been working at Intel Corporation (More than a year)

    Pros

The work life balance is great. They are totally cool about people taking time off, or having to leave work early to pick up kids. Family is first.

    Cons

Many managers at Intel should not have been allowed to become managers. They don't know how to manage people, don't have enough time for you, forget you exist, overwork you, mismanage the distribution of the workload within the team, and don't help with your career development.

    Pros

Great benefits, sabbatical is a very good perk, some really smart people and an abundance of challenges to solve.

    Cons

Politics, some very bad players in middle management, the focal system is flawed and it's not changing, data center group not growing as they like it to, aim to pay in the middle of market but expect excellence, and a lot of red tape to get things done, expect to find my people especially in manage ment where you wo for what exactly do they do.

    Advice to Management

    Trim the fat!!!
