I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time

    Pros

Competitive salary compared to many rivals in the industry. Great benefits that almost all people treated at the same level. Best place to work on the next technology

    Cons

Not favorable lower level management; so much of favoritism and micromanagement that sometimes makes the work place very stressful, so choose your manager

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People respect your career choice. Once you get in, it's rather easier to switch between teams of your interest if there's an opening. You get to work with a lot of smart people, and depending on your team, you get to work through the entire product cycle, from how the product's features are defined, implemented, volume validation, to debugging the manufactured product in one of Intel's labs.

Debugging the actual product is really stressful, but you learn so much in such a short amount of time. You get to appreciate good design, and especially design for testing techniques much more

    Cons

Product cycle can be very long.
A lot of management changes recently
A lot of in house tool changes recently

    Advice to Management

Give more training to managers, at least first timers.
Design methodologies should be more path cleared and thought through

    Pros

The salary and benefits are good and consistently bench marked against similar technology companies. In the right group, it can be a great place to work (GPTW). The work is rewarding and the quality of co-workers.

    Cons

Recent actions by senior management is disconnected from actual work being done. In the past Intel would reduce work force by cancelling unsuccessful projects. They revamped the review process in 2012/3 to target experienced workers. Now, they are revamping the review process again.

    Advice to Management

A surgeon and a butcher both use sharp tools to trim away an unwanted mass. Which one would you prefer to operate on you?

I worked at Intel Corporation full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great to work in processor design or validation teams as the environment is stable and the engineers are very intelligent and dedicated. Processor teams have effective meetings and management who believe in the company and the growth of their teams. Good benefits and very welcoming to new college graduates.

    Cons

Work Life Balance is in your hands and work can be very hectic during critical times. Since work culture is different across the various groups, move to a different group if your current one is too demanding or not rewarding. This is easier said than done.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great values and culture.
