Pros
Those co-workers and managers who believe in doing the right thing and who want to teach you; Daily challenges that help you to develop new skills, think critically, and build an ever growing network of Intel peers. There are high expectations of you, which keeps you on your toes. Flexibility to manage own vacation, sick-time, and to work from home every now and then when justified; Free drinks, on-site cafe and gym, car charging stations, free fruit, green power, composting and recycle programs. Employee autonomy is pretty standard. Not much micro-management. Corporate charter flights allow for easy visiting of some Intel US facilities.
Cons
CYA is very important; Management doesn't always understand employee workload or expertise so you may not get the right support; Say 'yes' attitude means you work as much as you need to in order to get the job done. Day to day tools are in need of upgrading (databases and data management in general, laptops, certain internal websites, company cell phones). Open/mobile work environment is like working in a noisy call center. Nearly impossible to concentrate.
