I worked at Intelli-Check- Mobilisa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Start at a great living wage and the company is constantly trying to improve the benefits package.

    Cons

It is an interpersonal pressure cooker with regular emotional and unprofessional outburst from the CEO and his wife. Constantly changing direction and instruction with little to no grasp on what is actually going on. There is extremely high turnover in the sales and upper management that has been integrated into the companies culture. Sales people are regularly asked to sell products that are not yet fully developed or that were originally tasked for other operations. There is a strong inner circle that if you are not a part of your are treated like a second class citizen by the upper management. Nepotism runs rampant through the company, husband and wife founders, former CEO married VP of Marketing, cousins working in the sales department, etc etc etc... If you can stand it and most people cant you can make a lot of money.

    Advice to Management

Don't micromanage and bring the website and company profile up to the level of our competitors.

    Pros

As a small company, you can gain a lot of experience about a wide variety of topics. Any skill you have will be put to use. Good benefits.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement are slim to none. The company was once on the cutting edge of mobile technology, but has failed to migrate to modern platforms when support evaporated. A lot of animosity from certain teams for no good reason.

    Advice to Management

Be more forward-thinking about your solutions' platforms and their life expectancy. Pay people what they are worth to the company. Don't make them find a new job before offering raises.

    I worked at Intelli-Check- Mobilisa full-time

    Pros

Decent wages for the Port Townsend area, but they cant compete with the benefits and opportunities of Seattle.

    Cons

Toxic work environment, little if any trust between senior management and employees. Little respect for the ideas and experience of their employees. Way too much drama for this small of a company.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the value of your employees. Inspire them, stop commanding them.

    Pros

Interesting technology... but a good strategy needs to be put in place to match the capabilities of the technology to the needs and interests of the market.

    Cons

Management dishonesty. Limited company growth potential due to strategic philosophies. Lack of experience in management. Senior Management greed and deceit.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the value in your employees. Encourage them... be more open. Do whatever you can to repair your loss in credibility. Listen to those employees who have more experience than you. Be more open minded and consider that your strategy should be formulated by your team not by you as an individual.
