I have been working at InterCoast Colleges full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Small Staff becomes like family. Enjoy the atmosphere with the staff and faculty and especially the students.

    Cons

Upper management is not properly trained, they should be teaching us or assisting us in our jobs not making our jobs stressful. Sadly not all upper management appreciates their employees, can't be productive and happy when they are making your work harder not smarter. Seems like this year alone the school went from being a great place to work at to a stressful, unhappy environment. They will loose good employees this way.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees they are here to help...

I worked at InterCoast Colleges full-time

    Pros

Made some good friends here. Had a good solid foundation of what education should be like.

    Cons

The management is the worst I have ever seen. It is all about the numbers. You have to dial and dial until your fingers bleed. If you enroll students, you get slight acknowledgment but if you lose students or are unable to enroll up to your quota, you are reprimanded. You're in constant fear of losing your job because if you don't make your numbers, you get a warning; if you have another bad month then you could get fired. People are terrible here. We had the worst campus president on the planet; the people at the top only care about themselves. It is terrible. How they managed to keep going despite the downfalls of all these other for-profit schools is beyond me. People in the same position as me were getting paid twice as much despite our productivity being the same.

    Advice to Management

Don't hire stupid people to be the bosses.

    Pros

I learned that working for this company was a monumental mistake.

    Cons

Senior management lack the fundamental skills to provide a healthy work environment. The college is a joke. They pay slightly higher then minmum wage to the staff and faculty. The instructors teach two different courses simutaneously in one classroom. Books and materials were never delivered ontime - the electrical lab was built by students because management did not want to pay to have a lab built professionally. The facility was dirty, old equipment and furniture.

    Advice to Management

Shut down and refund the money to all your victims

    Pros

Building relationships for students and trying to give them value

    Cons

Corporate Management is disconnected and does not care about employee development, and would rather replace employees

I .love working with Practical Nursing Students

    Cons

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at InterCoast Colleges part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours if you work part time. Holidays are always off, and if you live in the NorthEast, there are some snow days that give you a happy day off! Paid staff meetings, but they are not always very productive

    Cons

Disorganized management creates unnecessary stress at work. They kept changing my assignment and expecting me to do whatever they needed without concern for the end result - how it would effect the students.

    Advice to Management

Considering putting the needs of the students first will help making better decisions. Also, giving enough prep time to instructors will make them better (and happier) instructors

I worked at InterCoast Colleges full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Finally disconnecting yourself from this circus. Enjoying success elsewhere after you been told you are no good for so long by these folks.

    Cons

Owners dont know how to run the school but believe they are better than anyone they hire so you can get fired after your first week if owners get a feeling.

    Advice to Management

Sell schools or shut down. Taking money from people is not good business. Hurting people (employees) in the process will only bring you bad karma.
