I worked at InterContinental Hotels Group part-time

    Pros

HR does a great job at keeping employees engaged! Fun activities and events and opportunities to give back!

    Cons

Unfortunately in the process of being a hospitality company people are not providing accurate feedback on performance. Be open and 'real' with your employees - if you want to develop people and drive a business forward you have to be open and honest about development issues.

Also stop micro managing trust the professionals you hire!

    Advice to Management

Allow your people to make suggestions and don't just depend on upper management. Also consider hiring externally to bring in new ideas and 'energy' -

I have been working at InterContinental Hotels Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Free food for colleagues but it's a hit or miss with the menu on some days. Discount on hotels is decent if you're able to find them at an employee rate.

    Cons

Upper management doesn't understand the way their long tenure staff understands/sees things. People aren't held accountable for their actions when brought up to management.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job at listening rather than making rash decisions for your own benefit.
