    Micromanage culture is prevalent. It becomes annoying

    Micromanaging only drives awesome people away.

    Pros

    Location right in the mall area of DC.

    Cons

    Mgmt has let the quality of the hotel decline it is riding on the past glory and not the present

    Advice to Management

    Concentrate on quality to bring people back and retain them as customers

    IHG is a wonderful company

    Cons

    The Cleveland, Oh hotels where not what I expected from the IHG Brand. My manager was not supportive and didn't seem to know everything they should have to be in the position they held.

    Advice to Management

    Support your staff and renember the winning ways. Give a work life balance, promote and don't hold back good employees.

    Pros

    Wonderful Mediterranean location, lots of working venues with talented Chefs.

    Cons

    Not many women working in the kitchen. I was the only one in the cold pantry.

    Advice to Management

    Offer more opportunities for chefs with different skill sets. Most of your talent came from the local school.
