    Pros

I enjoyed the fact that this hotel believes in a good foundation to start.Training is a big part of the everyday work work culture.

    Cons

The hotel is not as large as its competition, however is expected work harder to Service the same demand of service.

    Advice to Management

My advise to Management is, continue to hold department managers accountable for progress of the employee PERSONAL development plans. This will ensure they feel their time is not being wasted and they are accomplishing something by being there

    Pros

    Advice to Management

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Intercontinental Hotels & Resorts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lunch in an employee cafeteria for $1.50 a day. 2 weeks vacation after 1 year.

    Cons

This hotel has several lawsuits on it currently. They are constantly tight on money because it is slow most of the time. The building is literally falling apart. You will deal with leaks, a/c issues, ceiling tiles falling, bugs, and more. They are constantly hiring then firing people. They will hire you on full time then cut your hours back severely. Management is only out for themselves. No one at this hotel has gotten a raise in over 5 years!! Yet the department heads get fat bonuses every year. The environment has made every employee frustrated and they often take it out on each other. i have never worked somewhere with more gossip and plotting. If someone new is hired that is good they try to get them fired because they pose a threat to their forever decreasing hours. If you want somewhere to move up don't come here. Only people with "connections" get hired for good positions. You will not be promoted but you might be given more work with out a pay raise.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. Do your job, and don't just sit in your office watching everyone else doing it for you.
