I worked at Interface Security full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I loved almost everyone I worked with. Large amount of vacation and sick time.

    Cons

Expanded customer base too quickly, leading to massive increase in work load for all departments, and bottlenecks due to influx of new accounts.

Increased call center staff but reluctant to increase staffing in other areas. High turnover, especially in call center.

Outsourced customer facing help desk to India after obtaining large client deal.

    Advice to Management

Keep an eye out for favoritism, it has infected multiple departments. At the time I left, many employees were frustrated that one person who was visible to multiple departments seemed to be getting away with not working as much as the rest of their department, but we're reluctant to speed up because they felt nothing would change.

    Pros

You get to show up, do your job and go home. Which is good when you are not a fan of taking work home.

    Cons

Promotions are based on time spent in the company. The employees are very young at times, which makes it difficult to deal with in the every day basis.

I have been working at Interface Security full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Management is generally willing to work with you when personal issues arise. Takes a lot to get fired, good if you're a lazy worker that abuses system and chooses to not show up for work. After 4 years you are able to receive 100% match up to 4% into 401K. Dental is fairly good. Medical is...its ok. No stairs or elevators to worry about. Most departments watch out for each other.

    Cons

over all tone of company is that it's a boys club. Executives extremely out of touch with how or what departments handle. Departments are very silo'd in what they know about other departments. Those that try to determine better processes and more cohesiveness are reprimanded and told to do stay in their wheelhouse. Self funded benefit program takes a very long time to pay providers. "Open Door Policy" for hr, that is behind 2 sets of special access doors. Vision is pretty terrible. Company doesn't really do anything for its employee's. Annual reviews are a joke. Rely on a Personality index for any job move or hire. No room for advancement in most departments. Alot of finger pointing to place blame but little acceptance and corrections.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your teams on the floors for process improvements, communicate with them more effectively. Information that g

I have been working at Interface Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent parking and benefits (though bare minimum)

    Cons

Passive aggressive management that obsesses over small things like If you wear a jacket (even though they keep the building freezing). They also are almost always completely understaffed but make little effort to fix that

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and stop making blanket statement rules that don't really make sense in the workplace

    Pros

competitive pay. office is pretty nice.

    Cons

I worked at Interface Security part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Being able to be me! I love training, motivating, being there for people. Most of all I did enjoy my job...all of the hundreds of calls. I enjoyed the built-in over time, the 12 hour shifts. very flexible and easy to pick up overtime.

    Cons

Poor leadership from some sups and upper management. It seemed as though if you weren't friends outside of work you could be a potential target to get harassed and treated a bit differently.

    Advice to Management

NOT TO PUT YOUR "FRIENDS" THAT ARE IN POSITION TO HIRE YOUR FRIENDS! IT TAKES AWAY FROM YOU PERFORMING YOUR JOB! WORK SHOULD BE WORK IT SHOULD BE BASED OFF OF BEING PERSONAL WITH SOMEONE. IN OTHER WORDS. WORK SHOULD HAVE NO "RESPECTER" PERSON!!
