I have been working at Internap Corporation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

New leadership is driving change and building an environment of cost awareness and accountability.

    Cons

Change is always hard- new ideas and processes can be difficult to sell and implement. However the new team is focused and believe everyone will be on board soon.

    Advice to Management

Continue to communicate the driving factors behinds the change- it will ease the transition and continue to help drive the results needed.

High pace environment can burn you out if you are not careful

    Advice to Management

    Keep investing in the employees!

I worked at Internap Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None, absolutely none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none, none. Had to comply with the 20 word minimum. So yeah, NONE

    Cons

Upper management is clueless. Poor people management skills. Good ole boy club mentality. Support organization(NOC) worst I've ever seen. Inept management, under skilled techs. INAP just can't compete with the others and they never will.

    Advice to Management

Pray that INAP gets bought. It's your only chance.

    Inadequate staffing

Executives don't provide support for employees

    Advice to Management

Quit cutting staffing. Reward employee dedication

I have been working at Internap Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Learning, camaraderie, technical, opportunity for growth. I've been with the company for quite a while and have seen several iterations. With the recent addition of the executive team, this is the first time I've felt positive about the future of this company. Getting the right people in the right places definitely feels like a high priority and incompetence is no longer tolerated. While there have been challenges, this is one of the best jobs I've ever had. I think people leave INAP (fomerly Internap) with a "grass is greener" attitude, but like any workplace, it is what you make of it. I've chosen to focus on the positives of my job and do everything I can to make INAP better and will continue to do so.

    Cons

Unorganized, lack of focus, lack of direction from executive team. Some of these concerns are regarding previous leadership, but given the recent executive team I don't always know specifically where our focus is.

    Advice to Management

Pick a focus and stick with it, develop a service catalog and streamline products. INAP has WAY too many products. This is confusing to our customers and darn near impossible to support. We need to get really good at delivering specific products with world class support and stop offering one-off products and services.

I have been working at Internap Corporation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This company is heading back in the right direction. New CEO, CFO, and other executives. Also, they just hired a group of high level, smart folks from Latisys, who have all started leaving Zayo. Internap seems to be creating a new culture and bringing back top talent who want the company to succeed, drive the stock price, and make some money. The CEO was brought in to fix things and re-craft the direction of the company.

    Cons

There is a valid perception the company has seen many changes and potential employees are leery. I'm here to say that's changing right in front of my face.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing.

I have been working at Internap Corporation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have only worked at INAP for eight months but have been given many opportunities to forward my career in the direction I want to go. I work with great people and have all the support I need to create a career, not just a 9-5. The opportunities are endless.

    - great people
    - chance to work on challenging projects
    - award winning
    - family atmosphere
    - everybody helps each other, at all levels.
    - good pay and benefits
    - hard working

    Cons

We are slowly bringing back the culture and vibrancy to INAP but we are on an excellent path. Again, I am still pretty new but I have seen a huge turn around in employee engagement and happiness.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!
