I worked at International Airlines Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great people, lots of talent.

    Cons

Salaries are low comparing to the industry. Even though you work in aviation, you have absolutely NO PERKS! None. Parent companies work independently and its hard to establish one way policies. The cliché of being just a number, really applies here.

    Advice to Management

People first, the rest will unfollow ant it could be great and productive if only, you´d put people first.

I worked at International Airlines Group full-time

      Pros

The best (and only good) thing that this company has is the people, most young people with a desire to work, to learn and to do a lot of things.

      Cons

It is a company where communication is zero at all levels. You enter without having any idea of what your activity and your performance will really be. Once you start you have to support all the partners because the training is very bad and scarce and you have to find out yourself how the tasks are done and how you have to do your job. The headquarter of IAG GBS is in Krakow, Poland, for a cost issue, something that...

      Advice to Management

In conclusion, an organizational chaos, especially the Human Resources department, both in England, Spain and Poland, because they pay late, the expenses are paid with a month or two of delay, salaries are low and they make a lot of mistakes regarding where they tell people that are going to be working at. A lack of control also due to relocation and lack of internal communication.

I worked at International Airlines Group full-time

      Pros

Good package (salary, healthcare and pension) Flexibility to work from home Ability to learn about and work with the various airlines in the group

      Cons

Lacks it’s own identity as is fully reliant on airlines it supports. Very poor systems and computer hardware in place. Numerous excel spreadsheets and emails required to complete one process. Senior management in GBS make decisions with little to no consultation with staff or other management across group. For a relatively new company designed to cut costs across the group, the company is very top heavy with large...

      Advice to Management

Consult more with employees and provide more transparency to airlines of organization and decisions. Invest heavily in systems and equipment. Hire external experienced senior managers when the ability does not exist internally.
