I have been working at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great work experience, school is paid for, great retirement and benefits package and amazing pay packages world wide. Travel abilities are always available in the IBEW also.

    Cons

Travel maybe required if work is slow in your city. But to some thats not a con as its a great reason to travel. Also on site risks and dangers are much higher in this line of work then even compared to being a police officer or a firefighter. Some things to think about if you feel the 6 figure pay comes with out its risks and downsides.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you guys do. Keep the rules old school and keep teaching our young apprentices right!

Not many, if you are a good electrician and come to work 8 for 8 every day, this is a great place to work

    Advice to Management

To the contractors, Get the proper tools/materials on the job, these electricians know the best ways to put them in
