I have been working at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like being a part of something with a deep history and pride (like my military experience.) Good wages and benefits that are transparent and better than non union employs get. Interesting, honest work that is always going to be needed.

    Cons

Must be willing to travel to job sites and take time off for classes with no pay.

    Advice to Management

Attempt to coordinate workers, so they may have a chance to work closer to home.

I worked at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Get your card and you can work anywhere in the country. Nothing like a union brotherhood!

    Cons

Not always the greatest work conditions weather wise. There are slow times in the industry, so make sure to save your money!

    Advice to Management

Instill the unionism again and push to organize. The more contractors and members we have, the stronger we are as a brotherhood.
