I have been working at International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My card actually says JourneyWoman! They paid everything for my college degree. I couldn’t get hired nonunion, they rarely hire women. Women receive the same pay as men for same job titles. They have a separate women’s club. I haven’t joined but I went to their meeting. I thought it would be like a man bashing meeting, but they played a game about famous women. I won a candle! And they had a lot of food and everybody was so nice to me.

    Cons

There are A LOT of women but not women foreman.

    Advice to Management

I don’t know the real numbers, but it seems like women and the blacks get laid off first.
