I worked at International Chamber of Commerce as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I was an intern at the International Centre for ADR, in management of the Mediation Competition and other ADR related events.

    - International working environment
    - Networking with top-class legal practitioners, talented students and coaches from outstanding universities around the world.
    - Detailed and caring supervision from the supervisor
    - Successful experience in large scale international events
    - Lovely internal events: New Year's Lunch in a boat on the Seine, photo auction donating for refugees, etc.

    Cons

    - the compensation for interns is very basic
    - my roles sometimes need to do some repetitive jobs

    Advice to Management

    Unforgettable experience!

I have been working at International Chamber of Commerce as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Largest business organization in the world, with respected policy and advocacy guidelines, as well as an esteemed member base with expertise in all parts of the private sector.

    Cons

As with all large organizations, change and implementation takes time. The International Chamber of Commerce is more responsive in some of its commissions than others, but does an overall great job in dealing with change at all levels.

    Advice to Management

Continue the work they are doing - respond rapidly to changes in international trade - and continue to be at the forefront of advocacy for responsible business.

I worked at International Chamber of Commerce full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Insider access to the procedures and dossiers managed by the International Court of Arbitration. As the real rules are unwritten, you have an unparalleled chance to learn them. And meet all the players.

    Cons

Highly political, ethically suspect. High turnover as good staff, even at the very highest levels, are fired or squeezed out all time, usually for acting with integrity or for suggesting positive change.

    Advice to Management

    More transparency!
