I have been working at International Flavors & Fragrances full-time

    Pros

I enjoy the entrepreneur spirit of our company. Not too procedural driven still structured enough to function effectively. People here are spectacular, creative, kind, incredible.

    Cons

Have not found cons yet in over 11 years. Of course I could say compensation but nothing compensates working with a talented diverse group of people sometimes from all around the world.

    Advice to Management

This year they are focussing on transparency and a culture survey. My suggestion is to drive it home, the people are really worth it.

I worked at International Flavors & Fragrances full-time

    Pros

overtime pay / Christmas break shut down

    Cons

    HORRENDOUS CULTURE
Too corporate with difficult, dysfunctional upper management - Incompetent people have become managers creating a disastrous situation.
    Politically charged and hierarchal atmosphere.
Absolutely zero support for new employees who receive little/no training. If they don’t perform, they are quickly fired. This creates a hostile environment where everyone only looks out for themselves for fear of being fired. No team dynamic whatsoever.
No career development and hardly any space for promotions
Horrible communication amongst the different departments and even within the same departments
    Overworked
    Inefficient and old systems

    Advice to Management

Create an environment where people actually want to come to work - not fear coming to work. Hopefully this will begin to solve the other problems that stem from poor culture.

    Pros

The work was okay, the pay was okay

    Cons

In the lab that I worked, they only kept me long enough to catch them up on their work while they each went on vacation

    Advice to Management

Train your lab techs better. You can start them off on the first day expecting them to know everything and get mad when they mess up
