I worked at International Paper (More than a year)

I enjoy working outside and I am a hand-supervisior. I have enjoyed my transition into safetyarena, and I continue to educate myself on OSHA, ASNI, and all governing bodices responsible for OSHA, NIOSHA, and ANSI in the workplace.

I believe sometimes production trumps safety.

    Pros

Good stable foundation to start a career.

    Cons

Seniority based mill. No matter how hard/sorry of a worker you are, you don't advance until it's your turn in progression. Being said that, it goes to show that you are nothing but a number!!

    Advice to Management

Listen to employees more often. We know what it takes to run our job. Seems they are only around to benefit themselves instead of hourly employees!
