I worked at International Protective Service Agency part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A few nice gigs, if you can get them.

    Cons

Low pay, less than 20 hours a week

    Advice to Management

Terrible supervisors. How do expect to hire ex-law enforcement when most of the supervisors are tattooed up, and talk like blood gang members? What a joke!

I worked at International Protective Service Agency full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is always willing to lend a helping hand; several opportunities to learn new skills.

    Cons

12 hour shifts non-rotating are the most difficult to handle especially when company operation is 24-7 365 days a year.

    Advice to Management

Openly give the opportunity to employee's rotating shifts allowing the opportunity to enjoy holidays with family. Since benefits are not part of the package having paid holidays would benefit tremendously!

I have been working at International Protective Service Agency as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The fun events, flexibility if 2nd job,pay is decent,New Yorker hotel has its GUARDS which is nice to work, hire fire guards and event security

    Cons

I agree with everyone comments. It is run like a dictatorship with no employee feedback, they insist on taking pay cuts for more work, supervisors are condescending to employees, Watch Command staffs who they want in favoritism, uniforms are not free, breaks are short even on doing doubles, no real benefits, retaliation if one wants to use sick days etc etc etc

    Advice to Management

Keep top talent and offer bi annual and annual raises, have a union to keep employees happy and not lose further contracts, make uniforms free, offer more Advancement's and promotion's, some training to advance schools

I worked at International Protective Service Agency part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Okay agency, fun and funny places to work, interesting clients, semi safe work site a lot of hours to work sometime.

    Cons

It's a independent contract agency, if you can't get someone to cover your shift you have to work it, boss is cool but don't trust him, low members on staff to work with, etc.

I have been working at International Protective Service Agency as a contractor

    Pros

You don't stay in one place you can work in a Hotel, Park, Museums anywhere the event is being held

    Cons

Unprofessional, no pay increases, the lower the pay rate the more work they give you, If you do something wrong by them they will put you on the "Do Not Staff" list

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better

    Pros

    Working events such as concerts.

    Cons

That the pay would no matter what, regardless of my experience, be at $9 something an hour and that there only seems to be temporary or on call work.

    Advice to Management

Give salary or rate of pay based on experience and offer full time work.

I have been working at International Protective Service Agency part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If your lucky enough to land a permanent position you will have a steady income. The company strongly believes in giving second chances.

    Cons

If your a part time workers it can be unpredictable what kind of hours you'll get and what days you'll work. There can even be slow weeks where you wont get any work.

I worked at International Protective Service Agency full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There were flexible shifts in terms of scheduling client contracted jobs. Also I would say that their choice of work sites, which of course, was based on the clients that regularly contracted IPSA, were not bad compared to other agencies.

    Cons

Not enough room for advancement... Security is a dead end career unless you start your own company providing guards or training them IMO.
