I have been working at International Trade Centre (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great learning experience, some managers are supportive, healthy hierarchy, people are generally open to answer questions, many like-minded and resourceful individuals to have fruitful conversation with, multi-cultural settings, travel possibility (but not for interns).

    Cons

ITC don't pay interns, some managers can be really stuck up, very clear divides between interns/ consultant/ staff in social engagements, ridiculous accounting system, ridiculous staffing system (consultants must ask to prolong their contract once every 3 or 6 months, interns can only know of they chance to get hired at the very last minute of their internship, the competency gap between interns are wide, non-transparent job advertisement), many consultants and staffs must stay longer than office hour.

    Advice to Management

Better staffing policy is needed, and pay your interns!

    Pros

    Diversity of international working place.
Good benefits, interesting work and mandate^. Flexible working.
More dynamic than other UN agencies

    Cons

Although less bureaucratic still too much!
Some managers not very good at managing people although technically good.

    Advice to Management

More people management skills amongst leaders and managers needed.
    Cut out the red tape!
