    The people that I work with on a daily basics where good

    UPER LEVEL MANAGEMENT DID NOT CARE ABOUT THE WORKER AT ALL

    Advice to Management

    GIVE THE WORKER THE MONEY THAT IS THEIRS.

    Pros

    Supported efforts of HQ teams to try new things.
    Was not afraid of failure as long as program was well vetted and approved

    Cons

    Route to market was difficult given union environment.
    Could not explore new opportunities with distribution due to union agreements

    I worked at Interstate Bakeries full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Best reasons: Opportunity to move up. The company insisted on freshness first which made for an overall better product

    Cons

    Trucks were old, computer handhelds were old and overall systems were outdated.

    Advice to Management

    I wish you had been able to repair the relationship with the unions.

    steady work,management allways there to help.

    most of the time we didn;t get the product we ordered.or it came a day late

    I worked at Interstate Bakeries full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The salary was the best part of the job.In the long run it was probably one of the factors of going out of business.

    Cons

    Long hours and management never listened to driver suggestions to make things run smoothly.All the money spent on big wigs and nothing was ever fixed.

    It was a great product. I was sad to see it go.

    Poor ownership. We gave back to keep the company afloat and in the end it still didn't help.

    Pros

    Benifits are good, if mgmt dosen't keep messing things up! The best product in the business!

    Cons

    Senior Mgmt is totally clueless, they have no idea what it tekes to get a route done or what the comprtition is really like. They have either not done our job or are too far removed from it

    Advice to Management

    why, we did that and they didn't listen! Thats one of the biggest problems!

    A good business for a person who likes to talk to their customers

    Many long days and a lack of leadership

    Please start listening to your sales staff. They are the ones who see your customers and evaluate the marketplace on a daily bases.
