    Pros

They have a great benefits program. They also have a good system for sick and vacation days once you have accumulated enough based on how many hours per week you are working.

    Cons

The attendance policy has very strict consequences.

I have been working at Interstate Hotels part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

My boss lets me learn and make mistakes but holds me accountable to everything so I can become better at my craft and I can grow where I want to grow. Not for the feint of heart or people that need their hand held.

    Cons

Some people may find the productivity expectations a bit challenging. I took them as an opportunity to grow and become more efficient with my time and resources.

    Advice to Management

Keep pushing! Our Guests expect the best!

I have been working at Interstate Hotels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company cares for and looks out for their employees. They expect a lot out of their employees but also reward them as well.

    Cons

The only problem I have is they they do not offer tuition reimbursement, It is almost like telling an employee that we like you where you are, you will not move up.

I have been working at Interstate Hotels full-time

    Pros

Stable with great opportunities to advance. The company keeps a list of employees to watch for advancement, and always looks within before outside. They are a great company to work with, and while large, do make efforts to make you feel like family.

    Cons

They manage for a great deal of owners; the communication and expectations can a challenge given you truly serve two masters in my position. I will say, even these challenges do assist you in buidling your craft, and do not detract from my happiness in my position.

Continue to engage field associates in decision making. It is working. People feel valued when they are listened to and actions are taken. Consider Tuition reimbursement to encourage staff to continue education. Review benefits packages for field-level associates and consider the overall value.
