I have been working at Interstate National Dealer Services full-time

    Pros

Company has been in business for a long time

    Cons

I have been through 4 different CEO's during my tenure here. The Warranty Direct division suffers from extremely poor management and very poor communication from management. No money is being spent on lead generation, and no one can answer the reason why. Not sure how much longer this office can continue to operate. Agents are no longer making money, and opportunities have dried up with no explanation.

    Advice to Management

Learn to communicate with your staff. Staying behind closed doors at all times, when agents are concerned with the status of their jobs, is poor leadership. (Also, Shaun Fetherston is not the CEO, and hasn't been since 3 CEO's ago.)

    Pros

Great team members. Good locations. Company likes to eat.

    Cons

Company hires incompetent managers. I was asked to tell why I wanted to use PTO- personal time off. Turnover rate is very high.

    Pros

This is a good place if you like to be very laid back. There is bagels and Chick-fil-A on Fridays.

    Cons

This is really a place for people who are not into working much. A few people do all of the work while many others just sit back. I have found quite a bit of politics there too.

I have been working at Interstate National Dealer Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Extremely laid back environment. "Sales" representatives can literally do whatever they please. Pathetically relaxed culture to their own detriment. Management is virtually non-existent. Sad.

    Cons

Clueless on any and all activities surrounding business. Pay is entry-level. Management team is extraordinarily content and rarely leave their offices. They wouldn't be chosen to lead a kindergarten class across a suburban street, let alone a Sales Division. Sad.

    Advice to Management

Direct management - Learn something; anything. Lead something; anything. Train something; anything.
Upper management - Please, please, please take a vested interest in the daily activities of the division and those running it. It won't take long to realize they need replacing.
    Sad.
