I worked at Intertek full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people at Intertek are for the most part really great to work with! Most Supervisors are not micromanagers, as long as you work you do ok.

    Cons

There are to many people in positions that don't deserve to be in those positions. They got there simply by knowing someone...not always fair but then again life isn't always fair.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what employees are saying

I have been working at Intertek full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great management in our Certification team. My manager and lead were very lenient with time off and worked with my schedule when I needed to leave early. I enjoyed my colleges and found that everyone was willing to help when needed.

    Cons

Little to no room for growth or moving up. Typical cooperate environment. They are always letting people go- so you are never sure if your job is completely secure. You have add no personal value to the company- you feel like just a number/faceless employee.

    Advice to Management

Provide employees with good work ethic more opportunities to take on more work/roles- otherwise the quality employees will keep leaving.

They give you enough responsibilities to challenge yourself and allow you to be fairly independent.

    Advice to Management

Disperse annual raises to those that deserve it instead of 2% across the board
