I worked at Interval International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company systems are divided into specialized groups

    Cons

IT management is a little inexperienced as some have been there since the beginning of time, but overall good people.

    Advice to Management

Unfortunately there are some employees that don't carry their weight. Fat trimming might be necessary.

I worked at Interval International full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My manager was always pushing our team to grow. He was always looking for the cutting edge technology to keep our skills up to date with the times.

    Cons

There's a lot of cliques. Many people have worked there for a very long time...Some are not very open to people coming in from the outside.

I have been working at Interval International full-time

    Pros

Two work from home days for employees in the IT department. Flexibility with requesting time off (this depends on the manager). Location. Covered parking (assigned for some but for a fee). Relaxed work environment in some departments (depends on the manager). Decent technology to communicate and conduct meetings remotely. A good number of vacation days, including one day for your birthday.

    Cons

Poor communication causes people to reinvent the wheel unnecessarily. Insufficient sharing of knowledge at times. Unprofessional behavior is tolerated in some departments to the point that it is disruptive to others. The majority of employees are very professional and knowledgeable but there are some who don't have a strong work ethic (this happens everywhere though).

    Advice to Management

Offer tuition reimbursement and make the yearly pay increases more significant. Continue to put bright, dedicated individuals in leadership positions (there have been some very good promotions recently that are improving our processes and performance).

I have been working at Interval International full-time

    Pros

Commissions can be great if you have a decent hourly wage

    Cons

Hourly pay should increase based on sales revenue for the company. There should also be a better way to move up in the company.

    Advice to Management

    Ince

I worked at Interval International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The company truly values work life balance, are interested in what you have to say, and have a positive family like environment. Good people, many hard workers, you can go far if you work hard.

    Cons

Can be difficult and slow to change things at all levels. The technology was outdated and poorly designed adding unnecessary layers of work to every project. Pay is below average.

    Advice to Management

Keep the great environment, but be willing to listen to stakeholders, understand and put in the hard work & expense to meet new challenges and upgrade the platforms & product. Get up to speed on Lean & Agile methodologies!

I worked at Interval International full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

People care about you at Interval. Craig is an excellent and accomplished CEO.

    Cons

The industry is stagnant and in many cases harms many consumers. Interval makes profit from its customers not using vacation days - I think these nights should be returned to customers rather than Interval profiting from it.

    Advice to Management

Think of more paths for career advancement at exec levels.

Lots of stagnant positions the people in some positions are like trees, this created slow moving changes and growth.

    Advice to Management

Less top down more equal partner type roles

Resistance to change by some who have been there a long time. No opportunities for formal professional development (i.e., no tuition reimbursement).

    Advice to Management

Continue encouraging innovation and offer employee stock options as a benefit.
