I worked at Inteva Products full-time

    Pros

Some wonderful and proficient people willing to share their knowledge and focus on the solution, not the problem.
Teamwork mindset in some departments like Engineering.
    Flexible time, good benefits.

    Cons

Upper management seems to be more concerned to keep their agendas busy with meetings and presentations to show who is better instead of supporting the structural issues of the company.
Quality department has no robust structure. Responsibilities are unclear.
Lack of leadership at Purchasing department.
    Workload is not distributed fairly.
    Poor training plan.

    Advice to Management

Don't change assignation of commodities to the buyers every 3 months, it is difficult to develop a strong supply base relationship this way.
A business is a gear set, we depend on everyone, stop trying to show off how important your job as managers is; it is very easy for a team to identify a good leader. Inspire your team. Promote team work.

I worked at Inteva Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay, flexibility, a couple decent co-workers who seem to care about more than theirselves

    Cons

Where to begin? Management is non-existant in this department. There is absolutely no accountability. Favoritism runs rampant, the amount of gossip, drama, and negativity is too much too bare. You will receive ZERO training and direction from management even if you literally beg for it. Management preaches about being a team but will not even address questions/ concerns from team members, much less actually have a proper staff meeting. If it is determined that the manager or their favorite employee does not like you, you will be outcasted to the point where they hope you quit. Employee responsibilities are ever changing with ZERO notice or clear direction leading to mass confusion from all departments. The team is so dysfunctional you will not even be interviewed by those you will be working with. The environment is not welcoming and no one can be trusted as everyone is just looking for a reason to knock you down and make theirselves look great. Heed the preceding statements before attempting to apply to the purchasing department, you have been warned.

    Advice to Management

Show up for work, call a staff meeting and actually address your employees concerns instead of reading news articles all day on the computer...

    Pros

Inteva is a family-friendly, creative, innovative company. Very empowering in terms of new opportunities.

    Cons

I can't think of any downsides!

    Advice to Management

Matrix structure is a good idea but ensure agreement between matrix leadership on priorities or people feel pulled in too many directions.

    Pros

Inteva has a very positive and family oriented environment.

    Cons

The executives don't engage with the employees as often as I would like them to.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice to see top level management participate more in onsite functions which support charities.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Inteva Products full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I work for a very good boss, he promotes work life balance, puts down his work to help me if I need guidance / advice on an assignment. Most of the supervisors / bosses are not like this.

    Cons

Inteva is extremely disorganized, people run around all day putting out fires on the production floor and then wonder why at 5 pm that nothing got accomplished all day long. The upper management is very poor at driving standardized work / processes.

    Advice to Management

Hire effective leadership at the plants; the lack of organization on the floor comes from management not knowing what they are doing.
