I worked at Intrado full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Some great people. Good size company with plenty of opportunities to expand your career.

    Cons

Feels like management is purposely driving the company into the ground sometimes. Too much middle management - just dead weight creating more of a burden on those doing the work. Executives are really out of touch with the non-executives.

I have been working at Intrado full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Coworkers are great, some flexibility with time if your managers like you.

    Cons

85% of management is in trustworthy, the company recently laid off several employees with 30 minute notice and then rebranded a week later . Benefits are horrible, took away vacation time and cut many of the better perks , because other companies were not paying those services so west was a head of the curve.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring a new VP/P etc every 2 months, and actually invest in your employees benefits and pay. Also when hiring new managers/ supervisors it would be logical and effective to hire someone who actually has experience in the area that is being managed and not just a manager of people.

I worked at Intrado full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

911 Services help people and therefore employees try their best. The work saves lives.

    Cons

A Company desperately trying to hire talent because they could not care for the already talented/energetic/positive workforce they had. Work environment and managers that operate on fear and are in constant panic mode. HR department that feels empowered and ends up doing psychological numbers on employees , not listening, not supportive, can not be bothered with questions. Managers that work thru high pressure... tactics, work overload . Be prepared to work 16 hour days with zero appreciation . Extensive lay offs make for too much work for those left behind. If you are a new hire read extensively on this company before accepting an offer. Much better companies out there.

    Pros

Opportunity and good management in Lomgmont.

    Cons

Layoffs every quarter. Latest one today.

    Advice to Management

Layoffs translate to more attrition and will contribute to the business failing.

    I worked at Intrado full-time

    Pros

Diverse workplace Good telemarketing/interpersonal skills training

    Cons

Diversity doesn't equal sensitivity Bad behavior is completely overlooked (if not rewarded) unless it interferes with the bottom line Account managers easily gamed their bottom lines each month, grossly inflating their sales to make it into the top ten Managers "cracked down" on that, but also enjoyed how the inflated numbers reflected on them Zero support from management with any problem, even if it is a... major escalation No loyalty, the employee is only as good as long as they are useful The hammer will always fall on the lowest person on the ladder 200+ AT&T accounts per person Management takes the $24 an hour AT&T pays their employees and keeps half for themselves - the other $12 goes towards an occasional pizza party or bonuses, but most employees will never see it Benefits are awful, no matter how long you are with the company Overtime forbidden When it happens, it's micromanaged down to the minute, unless the boss's boss says you can stay

    Advice to Management

Nurture a supportive environment where account managers aren't constantly begging for help Protect your employees, crimes should not be committed on the floor Incentivize honesty and loyalty Pay your employees a living wage

I worked at Intrado full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Work from home, employee discounts

    Cons

Started off okay but by the end I was overwhelmed by manual processes and a gaslighting manager. My department may have just been the problem but the bad morale seems to run throughout the company

    Advice to Management

Learn about active listening and how to manage people. If someone brings you an issue, you might just benefit from actually hearing what they have to say.

I worked at Intrado full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Weekends free. Holidays off. Decent PTO.

    Cons

Management is non existent. Get a CRM like Salesforce. Not some program someone came up with from the 90s. Lazy office environment. Pay. See too many smokers leaving the office to go smoke. No health and wellness program.

    Advice to Management

Hire young, energetic, employees who posses degrees in business, marketing, or communications. Increase the salary. Get rid of high cubicles, and promote a healthier office environment.
