    Pros

Smart team of young talented professionals. The company is well respected and the clear cut leader in the industry. The business has taken a position over the last few years to invest in their employees and have built out a career road map for everyone. Managers encourage their colleagues to explore new ideas and take on new initiatives/responsibilities.

    Cons

There are inefficiencies in the way things things get prioritized and accomplished in the company. The new CFO seems to have identified many of these issues and plans to make significant improvements.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the market and the users and prioritize development accordingly. Continue to invest in your people, identify stars, and help them grow within the organization.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Intralinks full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lots of flexibility, vacation, and great comp.

    Cons

Company is putting all their eggs in one basket by focusing only on their enterprise business. Other offerings are not receiving the proper amount of attention and customers are starting to feel the pain. Company direction changes yearly to quickly and easily appease investors, and sales and other departments are not properly aligned to keep up with new offerings. In recent years senior management from the outside came in without understanding the business or asking others internally what the implications would be and implemented multiple new systems that negatively affected the sales team and customers. Most of these purchases or contracts are now being canceled, but it can take several years for them to admit they made a mistake on a system everyone acknowledges doesn't work at all/ hinders business.

    Advice to Management

See above. Try to do a better job retaining talent.

I have been working at Intralinks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment. I constantly tell friends/colleagues that this is by far the best job I've ever had. Management treats us like adults -- meaning we have a very generous vacation policy, are trusted with our work, and are NOT micro-managed. Very much about output over input.

    Cons

I have not run into any significant downsides yet. As said before, it's about output -- as long as you're putting in the effort to get the work done, you'll find the job to be quite rewarding.
