I have been working at Intralinks full-time

    Pros

The current leadership team has put significant effort into employee attraction and retention with numerous recognition programs as well as the development of defined (but not rigid) career paths to provide individuals with the ability to grow within the company. There is a strong work ethic across departments and a tight knit culture that makes going to work everyday a rewarding and positive experience. Everyone is truly working together to build towards the next stage of the company's growth and it is fun to be a part of it.

    Cons

The company can no longer be considered a small, "mature startup", but is not quite as developed as many large corporations. This means certain internal processes are still works in progress and can be frustrating to navigate for the time being. This is a small challenge in an otherwise great organization and also represents an opportunity for experienced workers to make tangible improvements.

    Advice to Management

Continue to emphasize employee retention and growth, and offer compensation commensurate with the value that people bring to the organization. Please err on the side of the employee whenever possible, especially when presented with somewhat gray situations that could be argued in either direction - it makes a huge difference to people's satisfaction and, in turn, motivation levels.

    Pros

Recognized as the leading platform for strategic transactions by corporate development teams, investment banks and law firms. Solid vision/product road map.

    Cons

Awareness within the market beyond our core product lines has been a challenge however this has been addressed through the hiring of an impressive marketing team from the top down.

    Advice to Management

Execution of vision and product road map is key.

I have been working at Intralinks full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment. I constantly tell friends/colleagues that this is by far the best job I've ever had. Management treats us like adults -- meaning we have a very generous vacation policy, are trusted with our work, and are NOT micro-managed. Very much about output over input.

    Cons

I have not run into any significant downsides yet. As said before, it's about output -- as long as you're putting in the effort to get the work done, you'll find the job to be quite rewarding.

    Pros

Established company with good resources and intelligent people.

    Cons

At times lack of creativity and overly-serious work culture. Disorganization across lines of business

    Advice to Management

Clearer organization of product lines and management as well as a stronger focus in growing company culture with efforts that have been started

    Pros

It's an exciting time to work for Intralinks-- double digit growth and a focus on building great, innovative products. We're in a brand new, contemporary office space, and there's great energy in the company, from the executive team on down. In general, I think the compensation is well above industry average-- In many ways, it feels like a very well-funded startup company, despite the fact that we're well established and a market leader. I think the best thing about Intralinks is the people-- we enjoy working together and have mutual respect for our abilities. It's a smart, empowered group of people.

    Cons

We're growing fast, so the days can often be long. That doesn't bother me so much, since I love what I do.

    Pros

Flexible, decent pay, nice bonus. Benefits we meh...

    Cons

When they brought in a new CEO to stabilize the company he started bringing in his former Novell co-workers. They have since moved to Waltham right in the same building Novell was or is in. They started moving long term employees out to make room for folks at the C level who speak broken English and can't function. I was to get out when I did and feel they did me a favor.

    Advice to Management

Worry about the actual company and how you can keep things going. Stop developing new junk and wasting money on it. VIA was a joke. Stop tyring to get rid of folks who helped build things out and look at upper management.
