I have been working at Intrepid USA (More than a year)

    Pros

Our new management has a very hands-on approach when it comes to patient care and "Doing the right thing". I truly believe we now have in place, quality staff who takes the extra needed time and steps that are necessary to provide excellent patient care. This is now a TEAM effort instead of a one-person effort. Our communication has improved and will continue to improve with all levels of staff and patients.

    Cons

Previous leadership/staff mishaps that put our office into a negative light

    Advice to Management

To continue on the current path of improvements

I have been working at Intrepid USA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I have been with this company for 10 years and love it. Our number one priority is doing everything to make sure our patients are taken care of the best way possible. Great leaders along with great people and great values make for a great place to work. Benefits include nice pay, good amount of PTO and holidays, great insurance, 401k and much more.

    Cons

Only one con I can think of and that is there is no 401k company contribution.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate, innovate & evolve.

    Pros

I am no longer affiliated with this company and it’s deceptive practices. I would rate it zero stars if this was possible.

    Cons

Terms that were discussed throughout the interview process were not committed to once hired. Just one more home health company out to accept only traditional Medicare with nothing special to offer.

    Very poor support and leadership.

I worked at Intrepid USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I met some people whom I really liked;very few due to the fact that good people leave pretty quickly. Retention is horrible.

    Cons

Horrible upper management since Paul Foster took over, and it was bad before he came. Just a matter of time before somebody whistleblows on this company. Strictly bottom line focused, even though they could increase revenue and growth by simply treating employees as a valuable asset and increasing engagement. Chaos.

    Advice to Management

Understand the industry you are in, put your egos aside, and get some integrity.

I worked at Intrepid USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There wasn’t much good about working for this company other than meeting some of the employees that I keep in touch with. And the fact that I did get a paycheck every two weeks.

    Cons

Unrealistic goals set by management with no knowledge of territory, unfair and unequal pay based on gender, constant turn over of supervisory staff, non existent on boarding process & insufficient resources to be an actual competitor in the industry

    Advice to Management

Don’t hire people that you know you won’t be able to afford in 6 weeks or 6 months. Train all AE’s in a consistent and effective manner so that they are armed with the proper knowledge and resources to be a competitor in the industry. Learn about each territory and evaluate sales plans each quarter, without leaving it completely up to the AE to change the company reputation in assigned territory.

    Pros

mostly great patients, a few difficult ones

    Cons

management will nickel and dime you to death, tell you one thing one day, another the next. tense work situation due to falling patient numbers & had to fight for minimum workload.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Treating my patients is extremely rewarding!

    Cons

No integrity from the top down (CEO, Paul Foster, to BOM), no follow through on anything, total lack of communication, management a joke and lets others rule the roost. They lie so much, they think everyone is lying to them. Management very antagonistic.

I worked at Intrepid USA full-time

    Pros

    Setting your own schedule
EHR system was easy to use
    Paid holidays

    Cons

Poor leadership from the corporate-regional-state level
Staffing ratios based off of mathematical algorithm created by CEO to "improve efficiency" which doesn't account for the wide expanse of counties served and how long it takes to drive from one patients house to another

    Advice to Management

Remember that you are a part of the healthcare industry and therefore invested in providing healthcare to people inside of their homes. Invest time in understanding your socio-economical factors in the areas that you serve, people cannot afford traditional medicare when it is a choice between healthcare and putting food on the table.
