I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing benefits, amazing pay and awesome work life balance. You have the opportunity to work on very impactful things

    Cons

Slow politically infused space where an early/mid 20’s person might not feel motivated to stay for the next x amount of years.

    Advice to Management

Change is great! But change without clear actionable instructions for your low-level workers is hard.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company spends money to tell you to spend their money (in the form of benefits). Literally. Plus cheap health insurance plan with low deductibles. Lots of recognition programs. Very flexible work arrangements. Extremely smart, lean and capable team. Lots of opportunity. Strong leadership. Meaningful mission.

    Cons

Very fast paced and work hard environment. Work life balance is preached and supported, but in actuality it can be hard to balance depending on your team. People are very nice and supportive, but it can be tough to socialize because of how busy everyone is. Very large organization that is hard to navigate. Some roles are not clearly defined vs others.

    Advice to Management

With the upcoming CEO change, its important that management keep doing what its doing. Stock is up 650% in 11 years because of excellent strategic vision, motivation and top talent. Top talent comes because you take care of them. Maintain top tier employer culture status, and don't overwork your teams, and the good times will keep on rolling.

    Cons

    Not geeky

Too many stakeholders and unnecessary stuff
Poor leadership and lack of vision
    Biased decisions and little politics
Lot of collaboration needed with Indian teams so around the clock work (May/may not be a con)

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Intuit has an incredible culture. They believe strongly in ownership and autonomy for all their Product Managers (and employees!). It is incredible the extent to which managers invest in talent and really go out of their way to think about your career for you. They help you figure out what is important to you and what you want to learn and help provide projects that enable you to master the skills that are important to you.

    Cons

Occasionally it moves a bit slow. There are a lot of moving parts and it is a very bottoms up culture, so you have a lot of ownership but are responsible for clearing your own path to execution by coordinating with other teams. The company has moved in a big way towards more speed and agility over the past 18 months, starting before I left the company and continuing.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up! The company is an incredible place to work and that is felt across the many organizations. Always appreciate the open communication and dialogue.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Strong company culture that emphasizes respect, collaboration, and innovation. Market leading benefits. Great work-life balance. Very skilled and helpful colleagues. Emphasis on employee development and long-term career growth. Fantastic ESPP program.

    Cons

Vacation policy is just average (15 days to start and it takes a long time of service to get more). Work from home policy is fairly flexible but varies by manager/department. Very hierarchical level system with large emphasis on higher levels (director and above) and chain-of-command style of thinking.

    Advice to Management

Let employees negotiate for more vacation (e.g. giving up some compensation).
