    I worked at Intuit full-time

    Pros

One to the best reasons to work for Intuit is the various work schedules to choose from and that ability to work from home.

    Cons

They are too big! constantly changing score metrics so that it's not how well you do your job but how well you can convince your customer to refer Intuit. It's all about the money and not the people, although that is what they say, but that is not what they do.

    Advice to Management

Get back to basics. If you want qualified employees to stay with Intuit, rate them on how well they do there job, not on if they convince the clients to refer Intuit.

    Pros

Health benefits are decent for a call center

    Cons

Not enough training, pay is not good enough for the types of calls you handle. Many angry clients. Coaches belittle you. Mine in particular made me feel inferior for having a disability. Unfair scoring practices- I received someone else's bad review- they will not remove bad reviews no matter whose it is, not for any of their employees. Be prepared for LONG calls. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

Train your coaches better, train them to treat us as humans, not cookie cutter robots.

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The benefits are amazing, with minimal co-pays. Vacation is earned on overtime worked in addition to regular hours, so it will build up quickly. Allowing employees paid time off to work in the community is also a great perk.

    Cons

The management team is in need of an overhaul. Management plays favorites and if they don't like you, they will find any reason to get rid of you, even if they have to make one up. They do not care if you have a disability, even one that is recognized and documented. They will find a way to use the disability against you and get rid of you. They say they are big on values, however just walking through the office, you will see management break numerous values, most importantly Integrity without Compromise, and It's the People. It's the People, only if you are one of the favored few.

    Advice to Management

Employee engagement scores are still low and aren't going up. Maybe it's time to take a look at management instead of the employees. Instead of asking 'why are the employees unhappy?', the company chooses to lose the employee, even when the employee produces more quality work than anyone else on the team. The real problem is the quality of the management team and not the employees. Take a look at which teams have the highest turn-over rate and ask why? Interview the employees leaving so you have a better understanding why they are unhappy. The Annual Employee Survey is never going to tell you the 'truth', especially when the employees have been threatened when there is a bad review.

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Decent benefits for this region.

    Cons

Middle management is the biggest weakness. A majority of the Sales Managers have no real world sales experience. The 'ol' boy' network is big time at play at the Reno. NV site. Sales Management acts high school at best when it comes to evaluations and promotions.

    Advice to Management

Recently Intuit released a portion of the staff and had them rebid for their jobs. Great concept, however you brought the wrong leaders back! The very same sales manager that are in the network and are only looking to self promote. Clean house one more time and weed out the self promoting dead weight that has been in place for the past 10 years.

    Pros

Pay was okay. They provided lunch often.

    Cons

Middle management is rude and go out of their way to belittle staff same. Employees not determined upon the best stats, rather who lathers the supervisors with the most praise. Co-workers disconnect customers. Middle management is aware of agents dismissing customers yet, these people are rewarded because they make their supervisors look good. They monitor everything you including this web site to make themselves look great. Notice for every negative comment there is at least 2 or 3 that state how wonderful the company is. When in actuality many customers are dissatisfied because it takes 2 - 3 calls to get there issues resolved. It’s all about politics not the how well the job is performed!
