I worked at Intuit as an intern

    Pros

Great company to work at with steady growth potential. The benefits are very good, and the direction the company is headed in is promising.

    Cons

They are trying to be like their larger, more tech-friendly neighbors in Silicon Valley. Currently it is in the process of improvement and growth, but lags behind a little.

I have been working at Intuit as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are the best ever!!! Free snacks. Onsite gym. Teammates make work enjoyable.

    Cons

sales sucks...used to be a lot of fun and we were killing it. Has changed a lot over the year and now people are quitting left and right and I don’t see things getting any better...probably going to get worse! Expect to make over 150 calls a day if not more. While outcomes matter, calls and talk time can dictate how much you get paid vs your peers...explain that! Overall I enjoyed Intuit when I first started but am not positive for the future of sales...let that be a warning to all!

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting your favorite members, but rather promote people who show the most drive to have great potential...also stop moving towards call center mentality or you will continue to lose employees at an increased rate.

I worked at Intuit as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fantastic resources, incredible mentorship opportunities, great intern perks, thorough design system, up to date with tools

    Cons

The communication from management was not perfect. Especially post internship, it took months for them to communicate final offer decision.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you leave things on good terms, otherwise its difficult for people to recommend things. Be clear on observations in behavior throughout the internship and communicate that regularly. If an intern is spending too much time doing something, let them know so they can learn from it. Also, start interns earlier before they get to the building by providing optional pre-work to set up future interns for success.

I have been working at Intuit as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

    Incredible culture
    Inclusive and collaborative environment
    Delicious food
Loved the team and the atmosphere
CEO is everyone's friend - very accessible and transparent

    Cons

As an intern, my entire purpose was to learn as much as possible in as many areas as possible. This was accomplished during the first 3mo of my contract, during which I was a project lead. However, the remaining months of my internship were lackluster. I was given very few assignments and spent much of my time twiddling my thumbs and feeling like I was not contributing to the team. Even after speaking up and asking for more assignments, I was not given enough work to fill my time.

    Advice to Management

Be clearer on assignments - perhaps develop particular training or skills development opportunities for interns (and all employees). Too little opportunity for development.

I worked at Intuit as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Competitive pay & benefits.

    Cons

Technically mediocre workforce, tasks are never challenging, waterfall model masquerading as agile. You'll miss an opportunity to be mentored by good devs, because there just aren't (m)any. Intuit has been stagnant for a long while and is slowly being eaten by the cancer of middle managers/architects. This is even assuming you won't be bitten by politics and backstabbing that this culture engenders. Many interns lack a well-defined project of their own. The upside for some is work/life balance, there being very little work that you can reasonably put in.

    Advice to Management

    huh

    Pros

Amazing company to intern at. We had incredible perks such as competitive pay, rental cars, beautiful apartments, and tons of work perks. Everyone is very innovative and thoughtful. Definitely a supportive environment where they focus on developing your own skills.

    Cons

Final intern evaluation is a bit confusing and political.
