I worked at Intuit as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Work/Life Balance
    Fun events!
    Provides their interns meaningful tasks
Great mentoring, I really felt like a part of the team

    Cons

    Lots of archaic Legacy Code
    Management bloat

    Advice to Management

Intuit is a wonderful company! It has the downsides of a standard business (management bloat, too much legacy spaghetti code nobody refactored), but all together has an amazing engineering culture with great CI, dev tools, and work/life balance. I loved my team, and there were always fun events to take part in with coworkers. San Diego is a beautiful city, but Intuit is the biggest dog in town so there isn't really any place "up" to go, unless you consider moving.

I have been working at Intuit as an intern

    Pros

Great community, company values, and team outings. There have been huge efforts to revamp their technology stack to something more modern, which presents a lot of exciting opportunity to create projects from the ground up and use new tools.

    Cons

Some scope creep of teams and silo-ing of domain knowledge (inherent in any company that size).

    Advice to Management

Pay a higher starting salary in order to truly become a top tier company and attract the highest level of talent.
