I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Great culture, Brad Smith is arguably one of the best CEOs and most of the company falls in line
    - More on the ethical side of Silicon Valley
    - Hard problems to solve in the space
    - Working with some of the best people you possibly can, and everyone is really helpful and close relationally speaking.
    - Very open culture and leaders are willing to listen.
    - Lots of mobility if you have the relationships in the company.
    - Overall benefits are fantastic
    - Work/life balance is probably the best I have seen but it does depend on your team

    Cons

    - Infighting on the especially SVP/VP level is ridiculous at times and trickles down to manager/director level
    - Too much emphasis on "priorities" and currying favor through that
    - Some managers are way too outdated to be managing early career people
    - Some number of architects and staff/senior engineers are way too outdated and shouldn't even be in the position given they've just stuck around Intuit long enough
    - Ridiculous amount of seeing a shiny penny and every person jumping on it
    - Large number of PMs are technically inept, UX/XD demands unicorns, and engineers don't have any business sense
    - Pay is slightly below average... well depends on which year and whether or not you are aware of the payscale Intuit refuses to release internally.

    Advice to Management

    - MOVE FASTER. it's been the biggest issue plaguing the company and innovation being a literal joke in the company.
    - REPRIMAND PEOPLE. too many people run around unchecked for horrible decisions.
    - HIRE BETTER. average people only hire average people. Top people hire top people.

    Pros

Great corporate culture, impressive executive team, large company so a lot of opportunity to find a role/team to your liking

    Cons

Some legacy mid-level managers parked in quite critical roles that tend to get in the way of action and don't move aside to let you really fulfil your potential

    Advice to Management

    Stop with the major re-organizations!

I have been working at Intuit full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Wonderful place to work if you are interested in flexible schedules and work from home positions. The pay is competitive and benefits are great! A great group of people to work alongside with diverse backgrounds and talents! The work is challenging and changing, but Intuit affords you the tools to delight your Customers.

    Cons

For seasonal employment your managers and teams continue to change, making it difficult to build up a good rapport year over year. On the job instruction is lacking, but luckily most of your answers are available to you through internal channels (if you don't mind a little research). Sometimes people are kept on even though their performance shows this job may not be the right fit for them.

    Advice to Management

It would be nice if your seasonal work from home employees were included a little bit more in all of the exciting events that take place in their home base. We may not be able to be there physically, but I know many of my co workers yearn to be with you mentally. Also, keep your top talent in mind when asking for returning employees and find a better system of cataloguing their accomplishments during the season for new managers to review. You are not always afforded the opportunity to explain your work history with the company.
