    "Stay away !!! "

Aug 4, 2016 -  in San Jose, CA
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Emerging technology, Interesting products and deep knowledge in MEMS design

    Cons

Horrible management !!!!!! Roadmap of the company changes quarterly if not monthly. Most of the managers are promoted immaturely and not qualified to be a manager at all. Lots of micromanaging .. No work/life balance at all. Expect to work in the weekends. Basically you need to work like crazy to satisfy the high end customers needs. There is no feedback mechanism , your manager will not give you feedback at all at the end of the quarter, because they They don't give you a decent salary increase or title upgrade unless you ask for it , or show them you have an offer in hand. They tell you, they value you only you have an offer. Otherwise you are a working slave. Horrible insurance plans and benefits, not even close to an average company.

Stay away unless you are a fresh grad or desperate for a job

Jul 15, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in San Jose, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Technology - With the evolution of the IoT market, MEMS is gaining a lot of steam and these guys are in an good spot in this market Designers - Probably some of the smartest design engineers you will ever get to meet

    Cons

Where do i start.... Management - Extremely political. All mid and high level decisions are make by a handful of people in the company. Everyone else will have to follow or stay away SW team - There is really good talent there but very badly managed. The turn over rate is pretty high Culture - Probably one of the worst working atmosphere I have ever experienced. Extremely poor work-life balance (which is why i recommend this company for new grads or people without families). Everyone is expected to work late hours. Some engineers are expected to travel to asia the same day they are notified.

    Don't join Foundry Team

Jul 4, 2016 - Staff Engineer in San Jose, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

The only thing good is working on MEMS technoloy and MEMS products. But company doesn't have clear map for the future and made many wrong decisions. Stock price already reflects .....

    Cons

No experience managers and directors are more than engineers. Super micro-management style. Never appreciate people and would rather hire from outside than promote from internal. Less info sharing and no training. You are just tool or slave of manager.

Positive for work experience and growth, Negative financially.

    Pros

The company is a leader in MEMS sensors and has a lot of good projects. Good opportunity to learn a lot and grow in the industry.

    Cons

Lots of projects, less employees, more work. Very little effort goes into documenting the code and design.
