    Pros

Always strive for a 5 star experience. Dedicated employees. Great work/life balance. Great 401k/profit share program!

    Cons

It isn't their fault, but I live 30 minutes away from the location that I work. I wish I had a shorter commute.

    Advice to Management

Flexibility is very important to employees. Strong leadership is key to happy employees! Promote from within when possible!

I have been working at Iowa Clinic full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Many great doctors and staff to work with, good pay as a float nurse, several locations and specialties to work at, easy to get time off

    Cons

As a float nurse - assigned to 3 clinics as my primary clinics, was told I would rarely be floated further out, and am now consistently floated to clinics further away without mileage paid for these
Direct manager very difficult to connect with, often takes long time to return call/email
Clinics and other managers assume I am their personal float, regardless of whether they are my assigned clinics or not, and complain they do not receive enough of my time/attention

    Advice to Management

When float nurses are assigned to certain clinics, and when it was expressly stated that they would rarely be sent to clinics further away, do not continue to regularly send them to these further away clinics. We have lives and children to pick up from daycare as well, and when we are told to go to a clinic that is 50-60 away, have to be there by 8am, and daycare opens at 7am, it makes getting there (and picking up kids) on time very difficult.

I have been working at Iowa Clinic part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Owned and operated by the physicians that work here.

    Cons

Health insurance not as sweet as it could be for a healthcare company.

    Advice to Management

The almighty dollar should never be the bottom line in healthcare.
