I have been working at Iowa State University full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The salary is standard and follows NIH standards. The health insurance covers quite a lot of expenses. The location is awesome if you try to start a family (the kids will love it).

    Cons

The location is quite far away from everything... Feels a little disconnected if you come from large cities.
