    I worked at Irdeto full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, rank and file workers were great for the most part

    Cons

CEO (Graham Kill at the time) and pretty much all of the Executive Staff seemed clueless, only interested in maintaining their perks. Too many mind-boggling decisions to go list. Glad that they apparently cut most of them loose.

    I worked at Irdeto full-time

    Pros

Benefits fully paid (and good!), good vacation time for salaried employees, free snacks.

    Cons

There is not a high level of competence on the tech management side. The company as a whole has some really interesting products and offerings in the security market, but each product/office can be very siloed and resources are not well managed. (To be fair, it's a global company with many offices, so that can be hard to manage.)

Some products are doing well, others are not. The ones that are not do not have the right management in place to guide them through, and they do not have the right talent in place to fix it. In addition, they would rather hire multiple people at rock bottom wages to click buttons rather than invest in proper technology. Due to this, the tech is years and years behind.

    Advice to Management

I think that Doug is a competent leader, but what I would say to all of senior leadership - understand what is going on outside of the Hoofddorp office better. It's frustrating to feel like leadership would rather turn a blind eye to real issues in the company rather than address them.

    Pros

    Good, fun co-workers. Interesting work.

    Cons

Terrible hours. Usually there until 10PM. Must work holidays including Xmas and Thanksgiving. The pay is atrocious. I was paid through Robert Half, but was made an offer to be brought on through Irdeto. With absolutely no bump in pay.

    Advice to Management

    Better pay. Flexible hours.

I have been working at Irdeto full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

no dress code, lots of snacks, parties and events. health benefits are paid completely by the company.

    Cons

Be prepared to stay at the current pay level for the foreseeable future. The most these type of positions are paid is a whopping 16.80 and that's after a few years of employment.

    Advice to Management

Pay your analysts more. Then they won't jump ship as soon as one of the studio's has an opening.

I have been working at Irdeto full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get to keep up with what is current and popular with public media. Get paid to sweep the internet and gather information/data for clients. Try to take down infringing copyright material that is distributed online illegally. Fairly easy and flexible daily tasks assigned to you and management expects you to put in your best work. Fun environment.

    Cons

Expected to work on Holidays that your work day lands on. Need to use your PTO to request the holidays you want off well in advance. Nearly impossible to change your schedule if you are already assigned to it.

    Advice to Management

More standing desks. Don't let the clients milk more hours than we have the man power for, it's dishonest to the other clients.

I worked at Irdeto full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

International environment, backed by a great company. Decent salaries, options, good benefits, bonuses. Some projects work on the cutting edge of technology.

    Cons

Lack of great leadership. Senior management team is extremely weak compared to 99% of other technology companies. Lack of mentoring leaves many people wondering how to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Don't rule by fear but give people opportunities to grow. There is a need to take a long term view. It is not always good to do what is best in the short term. Lack of vision has cost your company.

    I worked at Irdeto full-time

    Pros

Large company with diverse set of employees.
    Encourages training and advancement.
    Fun team building activities.
    Good co-workers
    Nice offices at most locations

    Cons

    Very Amsterdam centric.
For its size, their non-sales/serve related positions are dispersed into too many global offices making communication and team work challenging.

    Advice to Management

Bring core services into core offices.
Focus future inititives on large market issues. Don't incubate solutions to small market issues.
