I have been working at Iron Mountain Inc full-time

    Pros

I love my job. I will never get rich off of my current salary, but it affords me a fairly decent quality of life. My co-workers and boss and other higher-ups and out-of-market people who come here to help us out are great, and I look forward to waking up every day not knowing what I will be doing; I have had previous jobs which I found completely rote and soul-killing. I am sincerely sad that some people at other markets have not has the same experience, but we here at Louisville are doing quite more than well. If you are a dependable person, a team-player, a hard worker, and like a great work environment, I highly suggest you apply here.

    Cons

Pay could be better. Just kidding--pay is on current rate for market value.

    Advice to Management

DCS is a poorly coded program. Limited options, cannot full-screen, or hide useless columns to check my work. The main program is great, though!

I worked at Iron Mountain Inc full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Dynamic work environment. Always something new going on with challenging opportunities. I worked with many great professionals over many years. The company is very focused on delivering shareholder value.

    Cons

The Company is going through a lot of change in its OH functions which has affected headcount. On the positive side, the company does a great job telegraphing the change in advance and assisting employees in transition with benefits.

    Pros

A very awesome culture, with nice people and great common areas
    Organized and clean operations
A fun place to go to work everyday

    Cons

Senior execs sometimes brought in from other companies instead of grown from within
Sometimes communication between departments was slow

    Advice to Management

Keep up the morale of the employees and they will perform as much as you need them to in the end.

I have been working at Iron Mountain Inc (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, outstanding opurtunities for growth (upper management). If one is fortunate enough to have a great upper management team, the sky is the limit.

    Cons

Not good personnel matches on key upper management positions can prevent one from achieving their fullest potential.

    Advice to Management

Place people who practice new trends in people motivation and leadership. Numbers are important, but there has to be engagement from employees to be great. (transformational leaders).

I worked at Iron Mountain Inc full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I loved while I was there for 10 years. Even though there was a lot of politics on who got promoted and raises. But I loved what I did and loved my manager and my team

    Cons

Benefits was pretty bad. Healthcare benefits especially was bad. For a such a big company, they didn't negotiate a good deal.

    Advice to Management

The company went to a REIT model, so not sure based on the current scenario what would be good. But when I left, I think the thing that was lacking was employee training to develop clients.

I worked at Iron Mountain Inc as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to learn A LOT if you end up in the right department. The Internship Program is very structured and they have activities and mixers planned. You also get to work alongside 30+ interns your age which is really cool. Great learning potential and amazing work life balance. The office is empty by 6.

    Cons

Depending on the manager, you can have times when you have nothing to do at all and it can get quite boring. Good managers/teams are everything.

    Advice to Management

A few communication issues need to be solved
