I worked at Irvine Scientific full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company manages the business to the highest quality standards. Even the "higher ups" are very down to earth people. You won't see designations based on how many titles are after your name here.

    Cons

Getting a job here is not that easy because there is very little turnover.

    Advice to Management

My manager was a great guy. Very personable. Did not micromanage the group.

"Upper Management is great to work with, but they ignore some of their poorer employees and do not confront issues."

I worked at Irvine Scientific full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They are trying to get to be a professional organization.

    Cons

Employees do not show any respect towards managment or each other. Human Resources is invisible.

    Advice to Management

They need to change some of their management and not be afraid of growth. They need to delegate and have more trust in the people that work for them. Their older employees are resentful of changes and act accordingly.

    Pros

As long as you're kissing the right butts here you can come and go as you please and basically do whatever you want. You won't grow professionally or learn anything new here. But it's a good place to accept a transitional job or a job while going to school.

If you can work your way to become a favorite, you don't have to work much to earn a paycheck here. It's all about who you schmooze with. Heck you can get paid 80-100k a year to chat it up & flirt 75% of the day with a lonely upper level director.

    Cons

All jobs at this company are dead end jobs. You will walk away from here learning absolutely nothing unless you seek outside education.

Upper management changes like underwear at Irvine Scientific. So don't get used to consistency at all while working here.

    Advice to Management

Give more to your employees and you will receive so much more in productivity returns. Take an anonymous satisfaction survey, you might just be surprised at the results. It's be proven time and time again that happy employees produce ROI. Wonder why you can't grow? This could be why.

    Pros

    Cons

People dont say hi, I just don't get why. Company culture seems to be lacking but if all you care about is money this is the place for you

I have been working at Irvine Scientific full-time

    Pros

    Friendly co-workers, friendly working environment.
Relatively easy work, no sensitive deadlines to meet, if you are looking for a rather relaxed working environment, this place could be a good fit.

    Cons

if you are coming from a larger company, your work and interactions with some departments can feel like whack-a-mole everyday. sometimes it can get frustrating, but overall small improvements are slowly being made.

    Advice to Management

culture here is formed top down. be empowering instead of hostile

I worked at Irvine Scientific full-time

    Pros

If you're in good with upper management then you have it easy. Don't however allow yourself to be anywhere near the line or on the other side of it.

    Cons

They sure know how to run out quality employees with their poor management abilities.

    Advice to Management

Either have Japan take over the company or don't. Sending over implants (spies) to work alongside us and forcing us to adhere to your culture is strange and uncomfortable to us non-Japanese.
