I worked at Irwin County Hospital full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers, great physicians. very diverse hospital population, lots of experience to be gained in this tiny hospital. heavy ob/gyn inpatient.

    Cons

compensation not great, heavy pt loads, management is overloaded (by choice?) so the same problems over and over. mds expect a lot from nursing.

    Advice to Management

let go a little and accept some help...it's not admitting defeat! need more education opportunities.

I have been working at Irwin County Hospital part-time

    Pros

A lot of the people that work there are very nice (this does NOT include managers)

    Cons

New management is not fair to previously hired employees; new hires are being hired at higher wages w & w/o benefits even in cases where they have less experience and education!

    Advice to Management

Be fair to all employees when it comes to their pay. You talk compliance and ethics yet you DO NOT practice them. Shame on you.
