I have been working at Isobar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Most upper management have a technology background which helps on project scoping because they have a clear understanding of the technical aspects of a project.
    - Agile work environment. I've worked at a lot of places that are 'quasi' agile. Isobar does it right though.
    - Really cool projects to work on
    - Isobar is invested in innovation and employees are encouraged to take part in the NowLab whenever they have time.
    - Great team environment
    - Isobar is really dedicated to career development.
    - Great work/life balance

    Cons

    - The password requirements to get into my computer are incredibly long.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on, keepin' on

I have been working at Isobar full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I've worked here for nearly 5 years and have been able to really develop in my practice and launch new ideas on a regular basis. I find it a relaxed and informal atmosphere with a definite 'no a-holes' policy, and senior management are accessible and open to let the people in their team develop. You're encouraged to give feedback and alot of care is put into developing people's careers from the earliest stage.

    Cons

Nothing serious. Snacks in the Boston office are a bit limited...

I have been working at Isobar full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I can safely say my career has been made at Isobar. This is a place you can call home for a long time, and you will see your skills grow, your titles (and responsibilities) advance, and have a great time all along the way. The people around you authentically care about you and ensuring you are in the best environment to succeed - for our clients and for yourself. The work is interesting (most of the times, but we can't always control our clients' interests!), and Isobar is focused on always providing value to our clients to help them stay ahead of their competition and the market. Isobar invests a lot into career management and training, though it's not always as visible, since it's usually in the context of a specific project's needs. I can't say everyone has the same experience with everything, but I can say having seen so many people stay for such a long time, and having seen so many leave only to come back shortly thereafter, tells me that there is something special about our culture.

    Cons

Isobar can always do a better job with management-driven communications and transparency. It's not always clear what the direction of the company is and it can lead to some level of uncertainty among the staff at times.

    Advice to Management

Stay on top of proactive communication. But more than that, keep acting as stewards for what makes us great.

    I worked at Isobar full-time

    Pros

Views are amazing but one can forget with the demoralizing culture looming over day in and day out.

    Cons

Among the few really talented engineers who think they are living their want to be part of a sexy start up dream; Isobar hires bunch of untalented functional analysts to basically be tools; there are no opportunity to skill up and most of these individuals are just glorified manual testers. I have one of the most cunning and unprofessional director at the Chicago location. It seems to be the requirement for this digital agency which struggles to compete and grow in the digital marketing environment.

    Pros

It is a supportive environment with nice coworkers and there are a lot of parties/activites/perks; employees get frequent meetings with superiors to find out how their performance is and voice any concerns.

    Cons

It's a very quiet office environment; a lot of people are introverted.
