I worked at It's Just Lunch

    Pros

Working from home and controlling your own schedule

    Cons

Oh my goodness. I also am alerted to new reviews and have thus seen the nauseating positive reviews of late. Please, if you are considering a position at this company, Google the consumer reviews first. This company does NOT deliver quality service and in order to do well, you must be OK with that. If one is OK with that, that necessarily means that they are willing to mislead because there is no way you can sell...

I worked at It's Just Lunch

    Pros

Working from home is a nice perk.

    Cons

You have to work overtime to make good money, they know this and won't pay you for it. They take advantage of their Clients on high dollar Membership fees $2800 and $4500 and hire minimum wage people to match our Clients to each other and they do not care who they match people with and cause a lot of customer service issues and cancellations after you've spent hours on the phone with them to gather their profile and their...

I worked at It's Just Lunch full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working from home. A very minimal base salary and benefits.

    Cons

The company nearly 100 sales people and had constant turnover. They were constantly rehiring but did not have enough leads for the sales people who had been with the company for some time, much less enough for a staff of 100. Also, the commission structure was terrible. It restarted at $0 every Monday and unless you had made at least $8000 in sales by midweek, you knew that the rest of the week was a waste of time because...

    Advice to Management

Allow Dating Directors (matchmakers) to communicate with sales people since the sales person is the one who began the conversation and knows what the client is seeking in a potential match.

Sorry this did not work out for you. We give all employees equal opportunity for success, but not all positions are a good fit for everyone. We service over 150 locations worldwide, so we need a big team to support all of our clients. We would like to point out that IJL has never ...

I have been working at It's Just Lunch full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    work from home, flexible schedule

    Cons

Constantly changing commission structure to unobtainable goals. Management controls lead flow so if you have a good week, leads will be cut off for the following week. Favoritism from management on lead distribution and markets assigned.

    Advice to Management

Be up front and honest with how many new leads will be provided, stop dumping all your leads into the office locations like Dallas. Give all of your reps an opportunity to succeed.

I have been working at It's Just Lunch

    Pros

Work from home. Decent training. Adjustable schedule. Most managers are very helpful.

    Cons

Phony approach. Decade old leads. Repetitive DNC requests that are not honored. Dated CRM system. Favoritism... Same explanation for advice, as It is not catered to the individual. Not everyone is the same, so approaching someone to get the best out of someone is best when you really look at them and see where the opportunity for improvements lay. Scripted sales presentation is flawed... Looks like a glass ceiling...

    Advice to Management

Everyone is different and requires a different approach. It isn't nice to "trick" people into calling you back as it angers people and makes the company as a whole look bad.

    Pros

Very interactive training, great coaching from some of the managers , got to work from home

    Cons

Poor leads, once you're out of training i felt like some what abondoned by certain managers. No team or culture environment. Leads were outdated and their closing methods were very pushy and aggressive

    Advice to Management

Treat each of sales rep as a friend, one you can be open and upfront with, too much fluff going o

I have been working at It's Just Lunch full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work from home. Full benefits. Great money to be made if they would stop hiring a new group of 30 people every month just for maybe 1 or 2 to make it.

    Cons

Not one person in "management" is on the same page. If you ask a question chances are they don't know the answer. They clearly don't value their employees who do produce because they don't have enough leads to go around to keep everyone making money. We DO NOT provide a service that we offer, we lie to people and give then back their hope just for them to be disappointed.

    Advice to Management

Wow. Where to start. Why don't you all start by getting on the same page, no one never knows an answer.. stop being so phony and fake it's sickening.

    Pros

work from home is the ONLY pro

    Cons

pushy management. Don't take no mentality - "if they ain't crying - they ain't buying". VERY aggressive phone sales. I would never do business with a company that was nothing more than the proverbial used car salesmen.

    Advice to Management

Different people have different successful sales styles. Stop forcing cookie cutter sales approach. The management is heartless
