    I worked at Itaú Unibanco (Itaú BBA e Rede) full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Very few. The bank is generally well perceived by the rest of Wall St. although it is not on the same level with international bulge bracket banks like Citi, DB, etc.

    Cons

    The New York office of Itáu BBA is a terrible place to work: 1) no respect for work/life balance from management. 2) the bank lacks the name-brand recognition of a large I-bank (think CS, MS, etc.) but still clings to an aggressive and competitive office culture.This is entirely inappropriate given that other banks are heading in the other direction and striving to be more collegial. 3) terrible compensation that is 50% or more below the rest of the market. 4) review process is arbitrary and management turns a blind-eye to the New York office.

    I worked at Itaú Unibanco (Itaú BBA e Rede)

    Pros

    One of the best salaries and benefit packages of the market.

    Cons

    - Political environment focused on internal competition instead or creating value for the company; - Too hierarchical; you see one director at maybe every 3 months and with very little opportunity to interact with them; lower positions have no power to take any kind of decisions. - Feels like working in the public sector instead of a private company;
