    Pros

    Being a camp counselor is a great experience that allows an individual to not only make great friends with his/her co-counselor but also his/her campers

    Cons

    The pay is relatively low

    Advice to Management

    Give counselors a competitive salary because the tips from the campers aren't that great and if you want to retain the best counselors they need to be compensated.

    Pros

    Inviting environment, the staff try hard to make the place a very family oriented place. The passion for children from the administration is passed down to all the employees.

    Cons

    The pay is low. That being said the pay is low in the whole industry because I was working as a teenage over the summer.

    Advice to Management

    Try to focus on staff retention. Campers get attached to the best couselors and if they have little or no incentive to come back, the campers are left with sub par counselors and have a worse experience.

    Pros

    work with kids; fun staff; great place to work if you want to be a teacher-- lots of connections; etc

    Cons

    not the greatest thing to put on your resume for other jobs; not a good job once you're past high school

    Advice to Management

    communicate better with veteran staff;
