    Pros

Compensation and benefits are competitive with other tech companies.

    Cons

The company doesn't seem to have a long-term strategy. Hopefully the new CEO will be able to change that. The culture is mainly talk and posters - basically it's work 24/7.

    I worked at Ixia full-time

    Pros

The company had a suite of network products that had very good technology and a good value statement of how these products provide cost effective solutions.

    Cons

Company organization and direction was in constant flux and did not optimize opportunities to sell the entire product line. In 2015 the organization structure was radically changed to better optimize sales opportunities.

    I worked at Ixia full-time

    Pros

Innovative company with market leadership in the T&M space

    Cons

The executive staff spends a lot of time talking about core values, but don't really believe in them. Stock is hoarded at the upper levels, and then management wonders why everyone is short term focused.

    Pros

A few good people that want to do something big.

    Cons

I won't try to 'hype' the company like others here. Working for companies like this should come with competitive pay and perks, and a much stronger vision and sense of inclusion. Toward the end, I saw low morale, although management does try to pump people up. Not sure if it works. There is a pulse that is missing, and it shows. People here work very hard, but it doesn't seem to translate into smiling faces.

Ixia has some winning solutions, but the marketing and execution is lacking. Conservative company that needs someone at the helm who understands how to be a strong advocate for their offerings.

    Advice to Management

There is more to life than your stock price and shareholders. Remember the people who are supporting you. Put your people first. And park your ego at the door.

I worked at Ixia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of management is very nice. Hours are long, but worth the time to do your job. Benefits are very good. Hours are very flexible as long as you get your job done on time.

    Cons

Is at times a stressful environment. with schedules constantly changing and long hours. Employees in some departments are always pointing the finger at others to get work done, rather unproductive especially in MFG. Seems like most of them waste more time looking at the internet or arguing over who is supposed do what than actually doing real work. It was sometimes called the country club due to people looking as though they had nothing to do, no one seems to know what multitasking is. Promotions and good raises are hard to get unless you really step up and work very long hours to meet deadlines

    Advice to Management

We used to have a program that said managers and supervisors should walk around to see what employees are doing. That seems to not happen as I saw many people just sitting around while others do all the work.

    Pros

Local team members are great. Personnel in the field are dedicated and smart

    Cons

Lack of communication from executives. Relatively new mission statement is disregarded by executives. Complete disconnect from headquarters with what is actually going on with customers. Does not listen to feedback.

    Advice to Management

Start listening to people in the field, they are your customer liaisons. Show some real respect for your employees not just lip service once a quarter.

    4. Any one can do anything with equal efficiency - management motto
    5. Management is least bothered as which area you want to work when under pressure of delivery and expect high level of efficiency and gives very little learning time
