I have been working at J.B. Hunt as an intern

    Pros

The team members and management are nice!

    Cons

The job description has been highly misleading so far. The work has been very coding intensive. However, they did not make this clear in the beginning. They have little to know training to get new employees familiar with the complexities of the company and the computer code. And good luck finding time to work outside of a 1000 weekly meetings. They also expect you to work 50+ hour weeks.

    Advice to Management

Work on developing better training for new employees.

Good starting salary. Opportunity to advance ESP if you are willing to relocate. Solid benefits, 401k match. Company is always looking to advance and improve operations.

    Pros

    -Relaxed environment
    -Friendly coworkers
    -Everyone was very helpful

    Cons

Us interns just sat at our picnic table everyday and pretty much did nothing. We weren't assigned anything and apparently there was no where else to go. It was easy money, yeah, but it also got pretty boring.

    Advice to Management

Have a plan for your interns.
