    I have been working at J. C. Penney part-time

    Pros

The co-workers are friendly and nice to each other. The work isn't hard either.

    Cons

The customers are annoying and some lack common sense. Also, there isn't much training going on, so you have to figure out the register/selling floor while trying not to annoy co-workers with endless questions.

    Advice to Management

Train new employees better so there are less mistakes and less frustrated customers.

I have been working at J. C. Penney part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Customer Experience, will hire no experienced individuals

    Cons

Certain Front-Line Management Do not Know what they are doing nor do they care about their job and their employees. When you ask for assistance in important tasks of the store, everyone finds a reason not to assist associates. Upper management only helps when their tails are on the line. This location is severely understaffed, especially in back of store and marketing departments.

    Advice to Management

Become more competent and understand who your employees are.

I have been working at J. C. Penney part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The work isn't too hard. You've gotta be sociable to have a good time, otherwise it'll feel like a never-ending dread.

    Cons

You'll be forced to peddle their credit cards to each and every customer which can get annoying, especially when you become familiar with the customers and can see they're aggravated by the constant questioning.

    Pros

They are decent with school/work life balance. If you need an after school or weekend job JCP is your place.

    Cons

If you do not suck up to managment you will not get anywhere in this store. The favoritism is outrageous.

    Advice to Management

Fire all the current management and replace with more ethical and competent managers.
